Exactly why I chose the dual swing gate, for clearance when in a parking lot or garage, and I've always had enough room to open them up so far!

The dual is really easy to use. I thought it would feel like a pain having to open it every time I need to get in the back end - but it's so simple and light weight feeling - I love it!

How does the steel bumper change the driving dynamics of the vehicle? Guessing it’s around 200-250lbs with the dual swings, any regrets of adding the weight?

I def. noticed the weight difference the first couple of times I drove it w/the bumper - but I don't really notice it now. I haven't been wheeling with it yet so we will see how that goes when I do!

I wish my CBI had the tire on the left (driver) instead of the right. My only annoyance.

My sliders are Shrockworks - but I ended up going with CBI for the rear. It's been on for a month or two - I love it! Haven't been on any trails yet though...hopefully soon.

I was looking at CBI as well since her front is. You like? Good fit? Swing arms easy to operate? Camera still has good visibility?

I love it!! The swing arm is super easy to operate - I've been really impressed. We did have to relocate the back up camera though...it was mostly blocked. Brandon attached it to the bumper itself and it works great now. He probably explained in our build thread on TW about how he relocated it. We were originally going to order a relocation kit, but ended up figuring out how to do it without one.

Hey all, this thread has some great info! I'm currently looking at rear bumpers as well. I have a Gobi ladder so I'm trying to find my best options for a dual swing that will go over the ladder. I like the price point of ProLine, but I can't get them to give me a definite answer if the drivers side (jerry can) swing will go over the ladder. Any advice on some other options. I like the look of the Shrockworks, but don't really want a single swing. I went on CBI's website after reading through these threads, but I wish they had some better pics. Thanks in advance for the help.

    Welcome!

Thought I saw somewhere else that the proline will not work with a ladder. Here is one that looks like it does work with a Gobi ladder (see pics) and the spare tire is on the correct side IMO. Check it out.

Thanks all! WallyT4R I did see the LFD as well. Does that have a camping table option? I go back and forth on which side I want the spare on.

Narbeh, no photos yet. I don't pick it up until June or July, I'm having a dealer do the build. Although it looks like mine will look very similar to yours but white. I'm getting the 2019 Off Road Premium w/ KDSS, but with the Pro "look." The dealer is a fan of the Expedition One, but I'm looking for something with a table (not a make or break, but a strong preference).

:notsure: Contact them, they are pretty responsive. I know cuz I bought a roof rack off of them. I like the spare on the drivers side due to visibility but I'm sure it's six, half dozen the other. Sounds like your build is gonna be pretty sweet, look forward to seeing pics and details when it all comes together.

I sure hope so! Been working with the dealer since about early March. He's been great and really knows his "add-ons." If you're ever looking to upgrade contact Eric Sargent at Ed Martin Toyota. Just spoke with CBI, very informative and got all my questions answered. Now if you'll excuse me I need to go start a gofundme page to afford this thing. :ohsnap:

A friend of mine got hers from ProLine and has had a terrible time with their customer service. Her bumper was missing a part when she got it, and I believe it's been over a year now that she has gone back and forth with them and still never received the missing piece. I had been considering them because of the lower cost, but that turned me off to them big time. I've had a great experience with CBI and would recommend them for sure. I'm not sure about the ladder aspect though - wish I could be more help!

You know what they say - Buy once, cry once! It took me a LONG time to convince myself to invest in my CBI bumpers, but I'm so glad I did!

Thanks for the info MellyMel! I heard others say the same thing on other forums. They keep giving me the run around in regards to whether it fits over the ladder. CBI said that they make a small modification of you have the Gobi ladder and then it will fit. Luckily I think I have a buddy that will powder coat it for me because $1200 to powder coat seems pretty high.

That doesn't sound right! I went back and looked at my invoice and I paid $250 for my rear bumper powder coat and $200 for my front bumper.

I use an extension w/the Kuat rack because of the interference w/the spare tire when folded up. I use the Heininger 6000 adjustable extension for 2" receivers and I leave it in the shortest extension which gives exactly the right spacing without being pushed off the back too far. When I started upsizing my wheels/tires, I had to trim a bit off the tire tray on the Kuat to prevent rubbing on the larger spare tire. But when I had just the TRD Pro rims w/285's installed as a spare, there was no interference or rubbing.
I hope this helps with your question.
