Current port processing times for Newark

This is brutal, I’m sorry to hear. I did go to the port again last night and noticed a bunch of 4Runners parked near-ish to the main gate. From what I understand, this is the final staging area where they sit waiting for tractor trailers to come pick them up. There was also a bunch of transport trucks loading up and a constant stream of them leaving and new trucks entering so it looks like they are trying to move them.

Another worker also confirmed that the Processing stage is actually enforced by the transport truck schedule. They receive a date that the truck will be there to take it to the dealership and that is the date they must complete Processing to meet their KPIs. So it’s not a situation where they lollygag on the Processing and if it misses the transport then oh well.

Fingers crossed for your 4Runner to make it home to you soon! If mine doesn’t make it to the dealership by this weekend then I have to abandon hope for getting a new 5th gen TRD Pro because I have a temporary work assignment that I have to leave the country for next week and won’t be returning until the end of the year.

 

Mine was supposed to arrive at the dealer the week before Thanksgiving. I didn't get it until Jan 15th.

Mine finally got on a truck on Thursday and unfortunately the truck crashed in route to the dealership and the 4Runner was significantly damaged in the wreck. No TRD Pro for me.

 

Oh my fuck that is terrible, I am so sorry to hear that. Fingers crossed you’ll be able to find another allocation.

 

Hope you will get another 5th gen soon. (In short) My 2018 TRD ORP was in a crash while dealership driving it to my house after service. I got a replacement.

 

Dont finalize anything until you've at least seen it, and preferably driven it. Yes, it should be perfect but you dont know that it is.
The waiting sucks more than shopping, but it will get there.
