I rarely use the same oil twice in a row, and my 160k mile 2013 runs perfectly, even still gets 21 mpg easy. It really doesn't matter as long as it meets API specs.

Even Walmart Supertec would be great.

Or order the Toyota crap off Amazon if it makes you feel better.

And even if it was it'd just be hot gases flowing through a converging/diverging nozzle...

Better for the environment than petroleum based lubricants. Also good for frying chicken.

I have a brother and two cousins who are/were petroleum engineers for Mobil. Their advice is always 'whatever is on sale"
Best oil is the oil you change regularly.

It makes me feel better but I’m sure it’s nothing special. My GTO sits a lot so I put the expensive crap in it and the Runner as well because I have a short commute.

    Rocket surgery or brain science.

Also I have hot gasses flowing through a nozzle after a chili burger.

Well, it's not Pennzoil and it doesn't have extra moly, so I must be taking a risk. Maybe I should switch to Brawndo. It's got electrolytes!

For novelty, I recommend anyone not sure what to buy, to research signature select gf6a oil from safeway, and gr supra oil. Safeway very convenient.
I'm new here, but consider this thread more or less off topic (i'm not bothered by it OP, i prefer a bit of spammy posting)

engine oil is not just lubricant anymore, it is one of the engine part, liquid and wearable, but designed for specific role, and lubricant is only one role. when I buy Pennzoil car, it will come with Pennzoil oil, and that I will use for it. TGMO 00279-0WQTE is $100 per 12 qts, at my fingertips at Amazon delivered next day.

This came up in the other oil thread like 3 days ago.

It's made by Exxon/Mobil, but I thought I read somewhere that it has different additives than regular Mobil 1. OTOH, there's like 27 different types of Mobil 1 now , so it might be the same as one of them.:notsure:

Each an everyone one of us cats will choose one type of oil over another based off of a spec we know 35% about.

Bigger fishes to fry in my opinion.

Heck, may not even be those kinda numbers. Could be key word triggers....

Just familiarize yourself with SAE standards and go from there.

It is amazing on how good Motorcraft oil is, Based off of those standards.

Whatever you “try”, I suspect it will pour in the top and drain out the bottom a few thousand miles later. Probably a little darker too. Doesn’t matter what the bottle says.

How many threads, pages, and posts does it take to get the point across that brand doesn't matter?
