KDSS is a must for a lot of 4Runner owners! I’ve owned 3 4Runners and one with a KDSS, can’t see my self without it now:thumbsup:.

I personally like the non KDSS better, I like the sloppier more old school handling.

I hear ya, so folks like the smoothness of the KDSS better. Long term your back will also appreciate it as well!

My advice? Rob a bank. When you get into 4Runner culture you’ll want to add things that aren’t cheap — that is if you’re into off-roading and camping. That’s why I bought mine, it can take you into the backcountry.

I agree with Latrans. I bought my new 2023 TRD ORP w/KDSS for the purpose of off roading and over landing, not mall crawling. We go to the desert six or seven times a season between Thanksgiving and Easter. I need a capable off road vehicle, not a Shirley Temple mall crawler. But, be advised, there is a cult like following with the 4Runner community where expensive after market parts are all consuming. I had PPF, tint and ceramic coating applied at 35 miles to offset the possibility of pinstripes, along with the paint chipping. Just these simple upgrades crippled my expense account for a while. Heck, you can drop a shit ton of money on aftermarket parts making it yours. In my case, retired on a fixed income, those mods are out of reach. I can’t wait to get this baby off road, roll down the windows, crank the stereo and say goodbye to the pavement, never found more fun with my clothes on. Have fun and be safe with your new toy!

I definitely needed more ground clearance and/or improved clearance bumpers for approach/departure well before I hit first oil change.
