Ask yourself this question. Will you go to this Trail in Death Valley in a Bronco? lol

I went there in the 4Runner, wheeled, spent the night, idled the engine, had a good night's sleep, and wheeled out.

I came across these vehicles(The usual suspects) in the most remote parts of Death Valley. All were heavily modified. Wrangler, 4Runner, FJ Cruiser and Lexus GX. I was surprised I didn't see the Tacoma

I would have to have some back up plans based off of my previous luck. I guess that is why I still have a 4 wheeler to handle Uwharrie National every now and again.

Nissan decision makers need to bring it back if they have any brain cells left

If Nissan brings the Xterra back with a v6, and no nonsense, it could steal some customers from Toyota

If I were buying 10 years ago, XTerra and FJ Cruiser would have been under consideration.

Partial to Nissan/Infiniti after working there so freaking long as a tech before checking out and end up in a 4Runner.

Jeep needs an IFS offroader to compete with the other guys, it is their dellusion that Wrangler can make it.

They could bring back the WJ with an ifs this time, and it will be super competitive against Broncos and 4Runners

This is how I would bring back the Grand Cherokee. Unibody, 3.6, 8 spd, rear solid axle, ifs, two lockers, 33s, crappy interior and crappy seats, price $30,000

I was close to buying a Badlands before the 4R. In all honesty I probably would have done it if the dealers were not selling over MSRP like the ones around me do. The 4R is insanely more reliable than the Bronco but I loved the off roading aspects of what the Bronco offered. Way better craw gear, sway bas discos, 35s, front and rear lockers. For what I do ( rock crawling) the Bronco is just better. Regardless I'm very happy with my 4R.

The 2024 Willy's comes with 4.10, Dana 44s, Rubicon fenders, 33s, LSD, BLD and rear locker. Best vehicle for rock crawling. You can safely run 37s.

You can get it for like 10% off if you dealer order, too. Anyone buying a Bronco over this would buy ocean front in Idaho.

Yep, and all that little guy needs is a nice sway bar disconnect that you can get aftermarket, and it will leave the Bronco in the dust

I came from an 18 JKU Rubicon. Jeeps will forever be my favorite but it was my wife's daily driver as she's a stay at home mom. She wanted something with better ride quality and creature comforts. I needed something I could crawl with lol. That's why we really liked the Bronco it checked all the boxes. We are happy with our 4R though. I do see why Broncos are so popular.

Trust me, you would have all the Jeep problems in your Bronco too, the cabin noise, leaks and all that. Except the unpleasant side to side movement of the truck when you hit a bump, that's a front solid axle thing. You did the right thing, The 4Runner is a much better choice. And it can rock crawl too, just get this and head to Moab lol

I’ve owned two Broncos. A 2022 Base (made money selling) and currently a 2023 Base Sasquatch. Both 4 door. The Sasquatch package with factory 35s, lift, gearing, and front and rear lockers is amazingly capable. Full time 4x4 available too. All under warranty. I can run trails where most everyone has mods (except the 2-door Jeeps that can go crazy places stock.) The best part is going 85 mph on the freeway the Bronco rides like a F150. Tracks great. It is noisier. I average around 20 mpg. Compared to my cousin’s 4-door Wrangler more room inside.

With that said, I’m picking up a 2024 Solar Octane TRD ORP in about a week when it arrives. The 4Runner has been my dream car. I’m not sold on the longevity of a turbo 4 even though they’re fun to drive. I’ve also never owned or loved Fords. I want a new old car I can keep forever. I should have bought the last year of the FJ Cruiser and I don’t want to miss out on the last Gen5 Japan built V6 4R. Plus the orange pushed me over the edge. The Bronco may be sold if the 4Runner proves almost as capable off road and is more comfortable on the highway. Hopefully I’m not crazy as the Sasquatched Bronco is pretty amazing.

I've been very very happy and surprised with how well the 4R does with rock crawling. Would love a front locker and an actual craw gear but it's okay I just don't try as much stuff as I did with my Rubi lol. Those new full float axles coming out certainly have my curiosity lol.

Easily fixed, that shouldn't even be an issue.

Counter that with 4Runner steering shimmy.
