    Thanks,
I ended up ordering a pair of BlackWidow PSR295 ramps from Discount Ramps just now. I get tired of the floor jack and stands so let's see how they are. I'll post my impressions. Maybe I'll be able to spray the bottom with fluid film or WoolWax myself. Hopefully they don't shoot across my driveway when I try to drive up on them. I'll 4WD Lo as you suggested.

    Thanks,
    John

I'll put it the front end up on 8" ramps and lift the rear up on jack stands. That'll give me a clear 16-18" inches to work underneath the truck.

For reference, I received a quote for a local guy with a mobile business to come to me, set a bunch of tarps down, and apply Fluid Film. The price was $199.00 + Tax. This includes frame, suspension, underbody, inside frame rails and body panels (Door panels, rockers, fenders, hood, tailgate etc). I will be trying it out since I'm in WI and winter takes a toll.

Good deal! Always wondered why businesses do the '99' thing, though. $199 versus $200. Do they think folks are really that malleable?

It's an age old tried and tested method called ' charm pricing '.
Studied about it decades ago during my bachelor years. Tons of research on it. Basically price has an emotional response on the buyer and the idea is if it's $7.99 you are likely to round it down to 7 than 8. The eyes lock into the smaller number on the left and the brain connects the larger number on the right to that number on the left. Something like that.

    Nice deal.

But is it wise to spray that stuff inside door panels? It seems like that could gum up or destroy plastic rain barriers, window motors, electronics, etc? In addition to the extra holes drilled.
