That's my fault. I was trying to quote everyone's comment and skipped over this one. It currently has 73 miles on it.

Are you one of those that buys into the “must have aftermarket UCA’s...” types? I’ve run 3” OME lifts on two 4Runners (Trail Edition and TRD OR Premium) and they were able to be aligned just fine with maybe the caster being out a tick but after settling it’s fine. Also, no rubbing on either with 285/70/R17 BFG AT KO’s/KO2’s
I’m gonna have to go ahead and disagree with you once again. I wouldn’t run SPC’s based on the prevalence of their failures over camburg or TC’s.

slap a spacer lift on and report back after you’ve run it Offroad and haven’t busted a shock or two.

Please tell me your personal experience with YOUR SPC failure (not some yesteryear shit you read online) on their newer gen stuff. I've run SPC arms pretty hard and they only issue was the bushing failed prematurely IMO, not a big deal.
I've ran Icon tubular and they sucked. Creaked like a mother and the return of the wheel was sluggish. I've also ran TC and I got tired of dealing with the constant maintenance of the ball joint or not and the truck sounded like a fucking rickshaw. No real reason for your reply on this other than to what???? Say you disagree with me again. You are a "staff member"? Who set the bar so low for admission?

Boy, you’re cranky. They run out of your charmin at the local Walmart and now you’re stuck with Walton’s premium one ply.

You seem to be good at giving your opinion but when someone else does, and quotes you, you tell them to get a life?

My experiences? Never ran them myself but seen enough people post about their issues to sway me to stay away from them if I choose to get aftermarket UCA’s.

Im not that type, but based on my personal experience there is a clear difference. I use to have a 3in lift with the alignment in spec on stock UCA’s and then switched to aftermarket and especially on the interstate there was a clear difference imo. Less jittery and less pull by big rigs. Now I know there is never a one fits all approach, but based on my experience, what I have heard from some of my buddies, and from my own research it seems 9/10 it seems better. Im just saying with that kind of money they are asking and invested I agree why not add them to ensure the best possible ride and a better alignment. Because with a 3” lift and 1”body lift I would think the ride is not as good as it could be.

I don't go to Walmart, son.
Not cranky at all. Just tired of people talking about shit they have zero first hand experience with and or cite issues that have long been solved for.
I only give my opinion on items that I have first hand knowledge with. Will everyone agree, heck no, but at least I have some street cred on the matter.
I have no problem with someone disagreeing with me, just come to the table with some first hand experience. Then we can discuss it like two people that are coming from the same place with a different outcome.

    Ok boomer.

So, by first hand experience...you mean I should be running them? Or maybe have changed out a set or two on rigs? Just trying to figure out your reasoning.

You’re not wrong. Drive ability will be improved and yes, dumping that kinda coin into a rig, they should have upgraded the UCA’s. But, doesn’t mean it’s not drivable at freeway speeds like others seem to project.
I’ve been running an OME suspension on my 4R with OE UCA’s since 16k mikes and I’m at 60k now. No issues driving on the freeway at 80-90mph (aside from the fuel economy goes to shite). Sure it could be better, but it’s not scary by any stretch.

Personally, it’s definitely an overpriced SR5. I don’t even know a bank that would finance that for anyone unless the dealer ya some in house magic they have worked out.

Agreed, I drove on stock UCA’s with a 3” lift for a year myself.

Wow! A $38,000, two year old truck with almost $20K in add-ons (including labor) for only $57K?

Looking through your posts in this thread, I think you should take a good look at yourself before calling anyone else a prick.

edit: you pretty much drew attention to yourself and why I felt like quoting you in the first place.

I already have and I see no misstep.
Your comprehension is shit because one of your posts even you agreed with my summation.
I was sharp with YOU because of aforementioned reasons and I stand by it.

I have no problem drawing attention to myself if it is truth. You just have a hard on for me for some reason. My guess is because I have a Pro. Only thing I can think of based on your sig. Have wronged you in some other thread or what???

No, I just think you’re another uppity dick from some entitled area (probably OC) that thinks they know better than everyone else. Spent more on a Pro with less capability and can’t come to terms with it and justifies it with the epic resale value.

    If we’re speaking truths here.

    Finally the truth comes out.

First off, I am from OC and there are a shit ton on entitled guys/gals around here. I can assure you I am not one of them, not by a long shot. I am in a good place in life and it's due to hard work, treating folks fairly and some luck. Nothing was handed to me and I grew up lower middles class I'd say.

Now, on the the Pro and more of your preconceived notions.
I've stated without hesitation the Pro isn't worth the extra money and I've never once supported the buying of a Pro to another member unless they had to have a special color. As far as knowing better than anyone else, I only speak to topics I have first hand experience with and still by no means makes me an expert and for the record I am a shit mechanic.

That's my friendly version because I enjoy this site. But I do have a breaking point.

I think the dealership is going to lose money on this one. That's a lot of extras on an SR5

The SR5 is a great platform for a build, though. It's like a blank canvas. But, most people seem to prefer to start out with an off-road for the locker, etc.

Hey jackbauer1 I think 4X4Runner is just trying to say to be more friendly, and less aggressive in your posts. It never hurts to be kind and it makes it easier for others to support your point of view when you aren’t being a bully about the topic. My .02 worth

I understand what you are saying but again I take umbrage to the fact he talks to topics he has no experience with.
Then it comes out he just doesn't like me because of where I live and that I have a Pro. That's fine, but at least I know where it's coming from now.
