If I had a net worth of $10 million, I would get a Dodge with supercharged Hemi, just for fun :) Americans know how to build loud V8s :)

Lol. With pride, I say that this guy is my mechanic since forever ago. Everytime he changes a timing belt on a vehicle of mine, I feel like it’s faster haha.

He also builds some really mean little toyotas.

Lexus LX600 top of the line trim, $723,000, more than 6.5 times expensive than here.
Annual Per Capita Income overe there is $4,700. This thing will probably be driven by drug lords and corrupt politicians etc.

I wonder what C&F and JPY to PKR are. And the Duty rate is way out there. Those are what drove the price sky high.

I have a good friend I worked with in Iraq from Sri Lanka. Always wanted to go visit him there.
At one point he was one of the highest paid Sri Lankans working overseas, short of being an Athlete or Movie Star.

Wow, that one lucky Sri Lankan.

BTW if you are planning to visit Sri Lanka sooner the better. After I left as per news there is high rate of deforestation going on there. I bet in few years all the forests would be gone and no trails for safari and off-road.
Train trips from Colombo to Mountains (city called Bandarawela, Badulla) has amazing views too. Including waterfalls and tunnels. Beach vacations are good too.

A Sri Lankan citizen was beaten to death and then his body put on fire by a radical religious mob in Pakistan two days ago :( Sri Lankans are some of the nicest people on the planet. Since it is a small nation, the world is quite. If this had happened to a British, French or American, Pakistan would have been shown its place. Sorry Sri Lanka :( Why did he go to Pakistan? Why didn't he go to Dubai or Singapore to work!!!

America is a Christian country. Some people will say no, but it is. Everything here is linked to Christianity. This whole month of December revolves around Christianity
Now imagine me, a non Christian in America, standing in the corner with a poster saying, "Jesus is not God, Christianity is false!", and people start beating me to death and burning my dead body in the intersection while Christian Police Officers watching. Well, this is exactly what happened to a non Muslim Sri Lankan in Pakistan who said something critical about Islam.

One of my buddy is a textile related scientist working in Bangladesh. Pakistan might also have similar jobs for chemistry professionals I guess.

I've heard only my IT buddies working in Dubai and Singapore.

Oh yeah, Dubai and Singapore are not in textile. He was a manager of a textile factory.

I have lot of friends who follow Islam who are scared about these things thinking other people would harm them.

Anyways let's not discuss religion here and get in to trouble. I try to be discrete about my believes because of some extremist. So I don't have any cross or anything to show about my religion on my car or front of my house. I only keep my rosary in my pocket since my childhood. Its my believe. I also carry "my last resort" of protection too which God may not agree.. LoL. Anyways let's not get in to trouble talking religion here.

As long as religion is kept to one's personal space only, it is all fine. Modern world is different. We have democracy, rule of law and rights of others. The world is very diverse now. Religions need to catch up. Anyways, no more religion on this board.
My heart-felt condolences to the Sri Lankan's family.

My Sri Lankan friend was taught English from an Englishman. I was always amazed to listen to his English Accent. Pretty sure he is Catholic as well.

I also worked with a Pakistani in Iraq at the US Consulate in Basra. Nice fellow.
I helped him out with a couple Western Union wire transfers to his home country. Wonder if that put me on a "list..." There were lots of services on base / at the Embassy or Consulate that non-US citizens were not allowed to use. Namely US Mail and Western Union.

When I 1st arrived in Iraq in 2009, we US Citizens had to escort TCN's (Third Country Nationals) into the Dinning Facility past the armed military checkpoints. A few years later I had a TCN escorting me around the Embassy when I 1st arrived and was waiting on my badges.

I got trapped in a hotel in Dubai for 3 weeks once. Not a fan of that country. I prefer to get in and get out of it as fast as possible. Everything there is a facade.

At one time I would agree with your statement, but a lot of Americans have separated from religion, and it’s not what it once was. Just look at where the social service type help is coming from now, where are the social norms being taught. At one time, this was all church focused, not so much anymore, our communities are falling apart, we are continuing to be more individuals and less like minded. More I’m right and your wrong.
