Betcha can’t beat this

When I calculate my mileage manually, I have a hard time determining accurately the fill line when I top up. If it was slightly under filled when you started and slightly overfilled when fill it up again, it will affect results. I agree with you, Thatbassguy, nobody should buy a 4 Runner if they can’t afford fuel for it.

 

When I see guys posting up MPG numbers in 19’s, 20’s and up, I know that most likely they are not daily driving their rigs in the state of California. Yes the high MPGs are possible with long trips up and down the Interstate, but as a daily driver and getting those numbers as an average on a consistent basis here in California is very unlikely. Especially with our commute stop and go traffic around the highly populated areas.

I think its safe to say 5th gen 4Runners here in CA average 15-18mpgs depending how the rig is set up.

 

For sure. I normally averaged around 18 before the lift, 285's, etc. I only got 21 on road trips while paying close attention to my speed.

 

Having said all that about mileage, my 2018 4 Runner will almost certainly be my last ICE vehicle if all goes well between now and 2022. I’m in the 33,000 pre order group for a tri motor Cybertruck, which means probably mid 2022 for Canada. I have from now until then to finish saving for it.
