Nice! This one is supposed to work on all 5th gens. I think I like that better than the previous version; not another $80 better, though.

Good for Offroam - they hit the nail on the head with their 4R phone mount.

I have been debating on this choice versus the other ones where you have to drill and mount the whole metal piece which will give you more area to play with. The idea of removing the panel for the drilling makes cringe though. Anyone here on this thread using these offroam?

I've had mine (2014-2019) for about 4 months, and it works great. Solid, doesn't vibrate, and doesn't block the AC vent. I can mount it on either side center vent, and it is pretty much infinitely adjustable as far as phone angle. It can be removed with no evidence left behind of it being there.

I have to qualify this - I am not a big phone user in my vehicle.

I didn’t want to drill into the dash so I went ahead and ordered the ProClip for the vent and the one for the center console. Will update after some use.

I know you said no vent clip but this is what I am going with...

    https://www.proclipusa.com/collections/dashboard-mounts-toyota-4runner-2021

I have used their system in a JL Wrangler, C7 corvette and an Acura RDX and had great success with all of them so I'm confident it will be good in the 4Runner as well.

When people think of “vent clip” they imagine the old style that clips onto the vent fins. I’ve used them and they eventually damage the fins. This ProClip mount fits *around* the vent area, no plastic damage, and is very secure. Paired up with an iPhone wireless charging device holder (also sold on ProClip site) I’m loving it.

    They are on sale now.

Appreciate the feedback, that is the current mount I have and could be an individual or bad batch but general trail riding with my iPhone 11 in the mount has caused it to break the supporting clips that basically hold it in place. I have nothing fancy on my phone just a plastic protective case, nothing military-grade or anything. I have been able to superglue and modify to make it last but now that the bottom clip has broken down it continues to fall out of the vent. Looking for something a bit more stable. again nothing against it, could be an anomaly but just need something different.

@Jonjc5159 I just ran a good amount of trails snow wheeling with the OffRoam. I highly recommend it. It's all metal.

Sorry to hear of your trouble with the mount. Mine snapped in pretty snug and secure. Did you also use that strip of double-sided foam tape on the bottom clip? I did and I don’t think I’ll ever be able to remove it. Lol.

Just received the OffRoam 2010-2023 phone mount for $80. I'll hold off on a real review until I test it out for a few months, but so far like the look and feel of it. No drilling, just simple. If you already have ball mount attachments, you can get the base mount for $40.

I received mine yesterday for my '21 and my first impressions are it's well built and solid. It's easy to install and takes up minimal space. No buyers remorse buying this mount. Great job OffRoam!

    Early feedback?

I have a '22 with wired CarPlay, so I don't really need my phone to be visible. I like the idea of having something dedicated and out of the way, so my phone isn't blocking any storage, but I'm not sure if it's worth ~$100 between the mount and magnetic phone holder...

I’ve been using the pro clip for awhile. Most sturdy mount I’ve used. I don’t like anything in my field of vision when driving so it’s perfect for me. Not in the way of any storage or more important a passenger.C86B4470-43D4-46F6-90DD-CCAA22154B19.jpg
Cheap adhesive magnetics on Amazon were 2 for like 10 bucks and I have no complaints. I can post a link if anyone needs one

Ram has a flexible stick on ball mount, I have 2 of them stuck to my dash, 1 for phone and 1 for gps.
Once you have a secure ball mount there's a ton of options.

I made a neat-o little phone dock that fits in the rectangular part of the center console in front of the passenger cup holder. Works pretty good for 4Runners with carplay!

Thats pretty cool man, creative! While I like the off roam I went with the Lapops mount so I could have my Garmin GPS up as well, back areas losing signal and relying on Satelite.

    Yep!
I’ll probably need to make another one out of a material that’s a little more resistant to the heat when summer comes, but this one will work for the winter months.
