$100, fold up quickly and pretty flat and they are comfortable for hours. I'm too old to compromise on chair comfort.

Kelty Lowdown Folding Chair. We've got a couple of these and they are pretty good. They sit lower to the ground than other camp chairs - so with your legs straight out its like being in a recliner. They are sturdy/good quality - and they roll up in a pretty small package, as shown to the right, for easy transport/storage. Not cheap - about $80 at MidwayUSA - but buy once/cry once. We've had them for a few years - used them camping 4-5 times - and they still look brand new.

If you don't like carrying heavy ass chairs, look into Helinox. Not cheap but they're pretty great and very light.

To having my RESEARCHED own gear
    Its comfort

    Saving weight
    Features
    Blah blah blahhhhh(but also important….)

I saw a video from Ronny Dahl once n he said it right

“the chair is personal” or something like that

talked bout how him/friends all had different chairs
Dude had a chair that belonged at the head of a Viking table

huge, small, padded, thin, recliner, swivel, table, etc…some $, others $$$

think of it, along with other(not just camping) like the worst day ever

what do you wanna sit on after all shiot has hit the fan
    Like shoes
Your feet are 24/7, protect them

    in this case, your arse…

take all suggestions/ideas with a grain of salt but go try them out!
    All bodies are different

    side note:
NEMO star gazer has caught my eye this past year

I have used two of these chairs for about 15 years. Motorcycling, car camping, small trailer camping. They are well made and quite comfortable. Expensive-Yes,but they have held up well in the road and at home on the porch.
They were considerably less expensive when I purchased them in 2019,

I run a $30 folding chair I got from a discount store a few years back. It's got a mesh back so it's not that hot, a cup holder on one side, and a cool pouch on the other side. Works for me.

My old school folding aluminum lawn chairs are easy to stow on the roof rack or inside, can be re-webbed, and are comfortable. New ones are still made in the US HERE

^^ Yep the good ole beach chair. I used one for years when I still worked.
I re-webbed mine using seatbelt scraps and used it for another 10 years.

Years ago I bought a Helinox Chair at REI. Folds small and lightweight. It can easily be carried a few miles to a view point for reading or a fishing spot. Has high back for napping. Its storage/carry bag can be stuffed with sweater for neck pillow. It is low to ground making exit tricky. In photo it is to right of front wheel in the shade.
