2” lift Bilstein 6112 w/600 lb coils front, 1.5” lift Eibach T13 coils rear, Bilstein 5100 rear shocks, TRD skidplate, TRD stainless catback w/black TRD side exhaust, TRD shifter handle, Weathertech bug deflector, 20% tint front, LED door bulbs, 285/70/17 Falken WP AT3, Energy Suspension front bumpstops, SSO Slimline Bumper w/ Badland Shackles, Durobumps 4.25” rear
imo, i’d go with MT Baja Boss or Falken WP’s. I’ve used only Falkens WPs on my 2007, 2011 & 2022 and they have never failed me on the hwy, rain, trails or snow.

this pic is 10”+ high across my front lawn. Falkens (285/70/17) cut through it like butter.

WildPeaks are great… had them on my Tacoma… but I do feel the Boss’s are quite a bit better. Can’t really talk about the new AT4 Wildpeaks

My insurance just offered me 30% off Goodyear tires, which had me considering the Duratrac A/Ts to replace the duelers. Only concern is I live in Detroit, so snow/ice in winter. I read up on your website, but do you have any notes on performance on road in these conditions? I was just going to get some K03s, but 30% off is nothing to sneeze at for a full set.

for context on driving, I work from home, so not every day commuting in snow & ice. but I do travel to northern Michigan & northern Ontario frequently for camping, maintaining family cabin, & canoe tripping, and like to get as far out there as I can why is why the switch to an A/T.

I also WFH primarily and commute via train/subway the rest of the time. I try not to go out in the snow to avoid the salt. I have not been in the snow with the new SL Duratracs but with my previous Load C Duratracs I went out a handful of times just for "testing" purposes. They exceeded my expectations, but I wasnt doing anything too difficult really. In wet weather, they perform very well and I do recommend them. Though they were not released when i made my last purchase decision, I would consider Falken WildPeak A/T4W simply because they come in a slightly larger size of LT275/70R17 Load C which i would be curious to try just to have something different. But I am very happy with the Duratracs and can recommend them confidently.

If you are keeping stock suspension and shocks I would select a tire that has a weight close to stock tires. SL and XL rated tires usually require road tire pressures around stock tire. LT rated C,D, E will run at higher road tire pressures.
