Sigh! Here we go again. I did this, I did that.
Oh wait, you are in your 70's. There is nothing more for me to add or revert to this dialogue.

It's not out of line to ask for a certain tech, at least where I have been dealing with over the years..... If he isn't available on a particular day, I just schedule when he is there.

I respectfully disagree with this statement. If you request a seasoned tech (if you have a good one) he will perform all work on your vehicle, at least at the dealership I use.

    Maybe, I'm just super fortunate!

I had multiple regular"request customers" back when I was a tech.
This was back in the late 90s before all the internet jazz.

Not at any stealership in any decent size town they’re trying to pump and dump you as a customer the stealership is just a glorified jiffy lube and I know guys who worked as techs at stealerships including longo (biggest Toyota dealer in the us) and they all tell me you only get vip treatment if you’re literally a vip (celebrity etc) otherwise your car is just like every other scmucks where they hit with the air gun to get in and out of the bay as quick as possible

Sounds like you are talking about a dealership and workers that could give a shit less about you and all of their customers.
Time to move on from that POS dealership.
Dealership I use in Baton Rouge LA is nothing like that.

    Just sayin!

    Agree.
Sounds like the one Pavo is referring to is. Some are POS, some are not and everything in between.

The dealer I bought my '13 Tacoma new in 2013 would wash it when I asked them not to, ding up the wheels when rotating tires. They seemed to take care of the oil changes ok. When I bought my 4Runner at the other Toyota dealer in town, I took it for one visit @ 5k where they basically topped off all the fluids, and one visit for an alignment after my Eibach Sport shocks installation. Never went back. They were under construction for a couple of years, and their service and parts was a mess. I'm way past the ToyotaCare, but didn't use it anyway. Rather do it myself.
