Engine health is measured in how quiet it runs? Maybe I should stop sending samples in for analysis

 

10K and once a year is too long.... does not matter if you are using synthetic or not... The combusion engines by nature will leak some fuel to the oil, and fuel is the number one killer for oil..
Oil is cheap change every 5-6K and every 6 month.... Engines are not......

 

Now that statement really shows your inexperience.

 

Now there's a totally Ludacris statement by someone that has little practical knowledge of the inner workings of the internal combustion engine.

If you have fuel contamination in your oil you have bigger problems to be concerned about other than oil change intervals.

 

I have one advise for you.. change your oil at 20K, why do it at 10K, or even better, sell your 4Runenr and get a Tesla... I wont argue with you anymore.....

 

And yet you still have to post and show your lack of understanding. I won't argue with you either. I never beat up on an unarmed person.

I would be willing to bet that I was porting cylinder heads and setting ring gaps long before you were even a gleam in your daddy's eye.

I have 2 independent repair shops and I bring my own fluids & filters for routine maintenance.
I found a 3rd independent repair shop that uses Toyota lubes, which actually is priced okay.
Dealers near me are used for parts counter purchases and occasional maintenance. Shopping around on phone is educational!

They only leak when the wrong person has been working on them.

I'm not the one calling people keyboard warriors. I'm not the one saying anyone that changes their oil at 10,000 MI is stupid. In fact I don't recall saying anything reflecting on the person's life. I have only pointed out obvious misconceptions from ill informed people.

 

Neither of which have any resemblance to the Norton Commando 850. There was a factory chain oiler but that was long since eliminated.

My electronics are dead reliable too, however I have replaced everything except the alternator stator and rotor with modern electronic designs.
