I use social media to reach out to Dirt King and Dobinson to make it public that got there attention.

I was able to get them to place dirt king and Dobinson orders on Sunday I have order numbers and contacted both companies to confirm Dobinson has shipped and arriving Friday. Dirt king is shipping in 2 weeks. Wheels were ordered Monday and arrived an hour ago. I went to AJC on Monday to pickup my tires that I dropped off in July. New shop Sibibuilt has me on the calendar November 11th.

 

Is this an excuse they've used in the past?

Either way, it's obvious she's attempting to use the elicitation of sympathy to defuse the situation. I call BS.

Even if true, it takes a few seconds to post something on social media to notify potential and existing customers. Furthermore, this appears to be an ongoing issue. Hire somebody for crying out loud!

 

They would’ve never ordered your parts, unless you threatened them or finally reached out.

sibi built is a much better organized shop. They fixed my truck after AJC f*cked me. Those guys are the best in the industry and everyone will vouch for them.

I have seen someone on the BBB file a complaint that they ordered $20xxx in parts and they never got it. AJC sucks and will be sued one day.

 

They use the same excuse every time. We should make an anti AJC page. Really expose these bastards.

 

I saw the same on BBB, crazy how they keep on. I spoke with head of sales at dirt king today to let them know what happened and how AJC is blaming them and other companies. He wasn’t to happy about the situation.

 

Yeah they do that all the time. They got dropped by SSO years back for pulling the same stuff. Here’s a link to that forum.

 

Oh yeah saw that one too!!!!! I learned a lot about AJC since last Thursday I just got more and more mad. Happy to move on and put this behind. Really just want other people to have information to avoid what I went through.

Shawnna’s father’s death was early this Spring and was out of state. Seems that the lack of child care is a new addition to the excuses.

Look, none of us are callous individuals who don’t have kids ourselves, busy jobs or businesses to run. Just don’t take people’s money up front and then not f’n communicate after the fact.

Dirt King is literally 10 minutes down the street from me. I can assure you that they are constantly cranking out stuff and are rarely backordered on anything that’s not custom. Don’t for one second let Shawnna push this off on a great company like them.

Same goes for most suspension/shocks. Heck, even King seems to be more caught up lately and dealers have stuff - again, unless it’s custom.

AJC just doesn’t seem to be able to run a business. I’m glad I got my <$200 order recently and am done with them for good. Can’t imagine being into them for multiple thousands and still waiting.

Of excuses and are too busy posting about grilling steaks at home using customer money instead of ordering the parts the customer paid for lol. Their excuses are the same every time.

I doubt it. I hear they are currently undergoing a lawsuit for shady and unethical business practices as well as lawsuit for customer vehicle damage.

Just a quick update since the OP.

Placed the order in April 2024.

It is now mid February 2025.

Last correspondence was about a month ago where the owner reached back out and assured me my order will come in soon. He also stated that his wife Shawnna is no longer helping with the business. I then asked if I should just cancel the order... Complete radio silence since then.

I'm still not in a rush for this product. But holy cow the lack of transparency here is pretty incredible.

 

Dude. That's way too long. Get your money back.

 

Agreed. I'm a pretty patient dude, I've waited 6-8 months for extensive machining work for different projects in the past...

10 months to slap some wood together is pretty wild.

You have some incredible patience. What’s the time limit for your credit card chargeback?

 

The wood quality is terrible also. I would get your money back asap and you will be much happier. I have seen guys with the Tacoma one have the bed pull right through the wood because he uses it as a mounting point and he supplies a bolt with a tiny washer.
Also don’t forget to leave him a 1 star review on google and yelp so other can be warned!! Many others have already done their part.
