    It's a long list...
Yeah, I'm almost finished putting a new batch together and will hopefully have them and other stuff available soon. It's been a while due to other non-4Runner things taking priority.

Right now, the big issue that is holding me up is the implementation of new security on my copyright and IP. I am making a few enforceable changes in that department and will roll stuff back out when finished.

This isn't a change I wanted to make, but my hand is being forced due to unscrupulous behavior by certain parties.

I requested a instagram invite from @Old Red in hopes of being able to purchase a harness for my new 2024 ORP. Got my fingers crossed he will accept me.

    It's all relative IMO.
This mod was one of the coolest ones I did on my runner. I rather enjoyed having the compass in the center to keep my occupants busy, vs simply having a clock that looked out of place due to the sheer size of the display window. In either case, to each their own.

When I first did the mod back in 2018, it was rather difficult sourcing a used display so I bought a brand new one. Unless you find a stellar deal on a used one, I'd recommend biting the bullet and get a fresh one. Nothing worse than not knowing if you did something wrong during install or if it's actually your used unit that is the problem.

I definitely see it as being a lot of work, but I also see it as having a good payoff. It would be in direct view every time I start the vehicle and it gives information I often seek while driving. I'm still trying to gauge my fortitude for tackling the disassembly.

I was like you in that it took a while to build up the courage to disassemble the dash for this. One day I said now's the time and went full steam ahead. it wasn't nearly as bad as I expected. @Old Red was very helpful when I had a question. He answers emails very quickly. And I am so glad I did this. I enjoy seeing this every time I drive my 4R.

Another thread revival. @semprenissart - can you remind me how the Set button on the AMD display is used to adjust the brightness of the display? It seems to be eluding me at the present time. I looked in the instructions @Old Red sent me when I got the harness, but it doesn't seem to detail that one thing, at least that I could find.

I downloaded a copy of the manual from 2014 (don’t quote me on the year) and gathered all the AMD features into a pdf.

Thank you. The .PDF is very helpful, since later years didn't include this information in the owner's manual.

Purchased the display from Toyota, and the harness from Big Red last December/January and finally installed today! LOVE IT.

I did actually experience a problem with the wiring harness I bought from Big Red, but not big enough problem to bitch about; once everything was carefully put back together, my Auto High Beams wouldn't work. I again popped off the panel where the Auto high beams button is located, and unplugged/reconnected everything. No difference. After closer inspection, one of the wires in the Big Red harness became "un-pinned" into the connector itself. Pushing the pin back into the connector made no difference, it had no click to it left. So I pushed it in and used some electrical tape to hold it into place so it doesn't come back out.
Again, not big enough a deal to bitch to him about because I am really appreciative that the harness is even available. Minor issue, really.
Other than that, that was a fun mod and well worth it.

Do these now work with 2023 ORP? And if so, when will there be a new batch?

To you folks in the know..............
Is there a general pattern to when/how often Old Red releases a new batch of these harnesses? Annually, semi.....etc.? Not on social media, so will check his Wiring Harness Request page often in hopes of good timing. Any help narrowing down best times appreciated. Thanks.

    To Red..........
Fascinating story on your harness reiterating the "no good deed goes unpunished" storyline and the hoops you continue to push yourself through to provide a few enthusiasts with a quality solution to an overlooked market. The other forum debacle/knock offs/IP theft...........and yet you not only soldier on but appear to be none-the-worse as far as your willingness to continue building harnesses and help us less than savvy tearing into our dashes......well, :hattip:

I would venture a guess at quarterly, but it seems like I've seen it more often. I don't follow it that closely now that I have it, though.
