Nah, fully embrace it. In "today's society" (we'll leave it at that since I got put into Maverick Truck Prison for three weeks prior to coming to this group for making political remarks) everyone seems to have lost their sense of humor.

 

I'm kind of torn also. But I do know that "Boys will be boys" & "Brothers will always act like brothers". Case in point:

Last year I'm driving my brother, his wife and my mother to lunch on a nice Sunday afternoon. Mom & brothers wife are in the back, my brothers driving. I'm in the passenger seat. Out of the blue my brother decided to give me a wet-willy. I swear on a stack of bibles it was totally unprovoked.

I wasn't even talking. I was watching the scenery around me. Then...BAM. A wet (and probably dirty) finger IN MY FREAKIN ear. My reflex action was to punch him in the side of the head as hard as I could. I'm pretty proud of that punch. I hit him so hard it knocked his big head into the drivers side window. You could hear a "thunk". Then we started tussling, while still driving and swerving all over the road. His wife and our mom are yelling "WILL YOU TWO IDIOTS STOP IT, ACT LIKE GROWN UPS!"

And my brother and I both responded like little kids:

My brother: Mom, he hit me!
Me: He touched me!

Mom: EVERYONE SHUT UP!


The moral of the story is: No matter how much a man ages, he still acts like a freaking kid when around his brother, or other immature men (or women).

I see nothing wrong with this situation. I disagree that it was unprovoked. I'm guessing it was payback for something that could have happened many years, or even decades ago (because you are old).

Oh, and who wants to act like grown ups? The way some grown ups act nowadays, please. Let me go back to being a kid when things were much simpler!

That was a good thread. I just re-read it, like you would with a good book. Sometimes new meaning comes out the second time around.

That subject of abusing vehicles got me thinking again. Then it hit me! There must be truth in this thread. Maybe I’ve been so apathetic towards the state of my paint, because deep down I actually resent my gray color. One of many gray’s with a fancified name. A fancy name that induces disdain by the mere fact it tries to be something it’s not. It’s just gray. They didn’t even spell it “grey”, which at least gives it a little more distinction.

My subconscious, but deep seated resentment of my decision to not decide on a color and just take “that gray one” must have boiled over! My pinstripes and half-assed buffing attempts must be my way of saying I will not go quiet into that gray sea of commuter vehicles. No sir, if I must blend, then it will be the kind of blending that makes me the subject of cautionary tales mothers tell their children. It also probably explains why I park in poop. I’m just an angry little kid lashing out!

But now that I’ve had this epiphany, what should I do? Do I thank my gray for releasing my inner child? Do I trade it in for an old Calvalry Blue???

Regardless of what I decide, what started out as insults, turned out to be the path of my self-discovery.




But back to the spirit of this thread and insults… notice I didn’t consider trading it in for Army Green.

Army Green with a shiny clear coat is the same as chrome spinners and tire shine on a Unimog!

 

At this point I am thinking two tone for you. (Army) Green because of envy, and Blushing bright red due to embarrassment?
