Who cares? This never shows everything anyway.
Then get off my nuts about my old Jeeps. You're the one who asked me about my miserable Jeep experiences.

Does that sandwich have more than 8.3” of ground clearance? If not, then I think it will be shunned. :boink:

From the pics I’ve seen it doesn’t look lower than a 4Runner, I bet it has a bigger axle/diff.
The wheel wells look bigger, and maybe you could put a small lift in and run 33-34”tires without a bmc or modified pinch weld.
    That would be nice!
The grill and round headlights do look really good too!

I have real world experience with Jeep. The wife and I have owned many Wranglers (TJ, JK, JL), a Gladiator, and a Grand Cherokee SRT.

We had some smaller issues with some JK’s, but never put more than 50k on one before trading. For example, I ordered a new 2016 2 door Rubicon and waited a month for it to show. The day after I picked it up, it was on a flatbed, on the way back to the dealership. It was leaking t-case fluid all over the garage floor.

I can say unequivocally, that the JL Wranglers are garbage. Waay overpriced garbage at that. Owned 3 JL’s, and had problems with all 3. Had all kinds of issues with my 2018 Rubicon. Our 2020 left us stranded on the trail in Colorado summer of 2021, and our 2022 Rubicon had issues on our Moab trip last year, including inexplicably losing engine power on the way home. Never going back.

Anecdotally, my friend’s JKU Rubicon has 130,000 miles on it, however the engine and transmission has already been replaced.

Why would you give them so many chances? For me, it's one and done. My wife had a crv. While it was very reliable, it ate tires. In the 65,000 miles that we had it, it went thru 3 sets of tires. And they were not cheap ones. I was about to replace the 3rd set when she totaled it. Won't buy a Honda again. I had a Dodge at one point and it was a piece of junk, Only had it for 2 years and dumped it. Never again. Toyota has been the only make that has given me great reliability and longevity on tires and everything else.

I think this is the first time I've ever heard of anyone complaining a Honda eats tires. Maybe you were being sold crappy tires, or maybe you were being lied to about the condition of your tires.

Nope, 1st tires were OEM and were gone by 22,000 miles. 2nd set were a good name brand, can't remember which right now, were gone at 21,000 miles. The last set were Michelins purchased at the dealership. The had 22,000 and were at 3/32" at that point. I was going to file a claim as they were supposed to be good for 70,000 miles but my wife totaled the vehicle before I could. I had all of them rotated religiously every 5k miles by the dealer and all of them wore evenly.

My wife drives a 2014 CR-V. I think it has about 70K miles on it and we changed out the tires that came new on it at 50-60K. I'd question if something was wrong with the AWD if it was going though full sets of new tires every 20-22K.

I was going too but she totaled it before I could. Got her a RAV4 and never looked back.

There is a very funny George Carlin vid out there where he goes on the attack about what you call "drugstore" cowboys. Punch line had me rolling in the floor ... "The closest that guy has ever been to a cow was when he stopped at an Arby's to take a piss".
