I can confirm the block user function works well.

Having been well acquainted with the new T24A-FTS in many modes of driving, it responds well to user input and no I'm not some influencer or partisan cheerleader.

The 3.5L 2GR-FKS is somewhat inferior in my opinion, having driven one in the same specification in the same DFW metro area. Plus, 6 speed manual 1GR Tacoma comparatively. 2023 2GR was the weakest link against a 2015 6MT Taco V6 and 2024 2.4T with 278 hp.

LOL the group beat down on the 3.5 V6 is savage.

Well deserved too. That goes to show how many newer taco buyers are just buying it for the name, I can't imagine forking over 40k for that thing especially after Toyota moved production to the 2 mexico plants and saved a bundle in labor cost.

They were assembled in San Antonio and Tijuana simultaneously for a good amount of time. San Antonio just took over Tundra and Sequoia assembly and now Tijuana and Guanajuato handle Tacoma's.

The Tijuana plant won the North and South American Gold Plant Award for Quality from JD Power and Associates.

And before San Antonio they were made in NUMMI where the Tesla plant is now

I don't pay much attention to the drivel that JD Power and Friends pumps out for sale. Last year the large pickup category went to Ram 1500 classic, and small upscale SUV award went to Alfa Romeo Stelvio. LOL and ROFL.

Somebody started a new thread with it because a sticky post is too hard to find.

I agree with what someone said about the 4RUNNER looking like an afterthought, but its easier to debadge that way, fixed the current tailgate rusting issue, and is better than going to stamped tailgates like every truck made these days

Not pointing fingers at any dudes here, but looking at comment sections on social media and car sites, seems like there are a lot of DUMB ASF people commenting (WAY TOO MUCH). I don't see comments like this on something like a new S-Class or 911. Such dumb shit is weeded out quickly and shamed for the trolling it is.

Makes the discourse here seem like the MENSA. I really don't get it. As interested as I was in seeing how everyone's reacting to Toyota finally (officially) confirming a 4Runner redesign, a lot of these peeps are woefully dumb ASF, that it's grating as hell sifting past the dumb discussions.

(I'd wager) Some of the same dumbasses were so sure, it was being killed off by the Land Cruiser or becoming a rugged reskinned Highlander. Going out of their way to ignore, rumblings of ongoing 6th gen development.

Grumbling about the lack of a roll down window (this early mind you), making up bullshiz about stuff not happening, crying about the Tundra and Sequoia meaning it's gonna suck, having the most over the top expectations of a V8 or V6 with removable top. Or if not, Toyota is the devil incarnate. It's never ending. Are any of you seeing the same thing?

It's pretty fucking obvious from informed insight all this time, it's a close enough update of the current 5th gen design onto the new frame platform and related to 4th gen Tacoma, with similar turbo I4 engines and nothing extra like the Lexus GX. (Gen 6 also has available 3rd row).

Anyone interested in the next 4Runner and missing those details ALL this time, definitely lives under a rock and maybe should shut up if they're not paying any attention. The tantrum throwing and concern trolling I've seen about the announcement is really annoying, as opposed to valid criticisms.

I like to see what everyone is thinking on what's coming down the pike and it kinda sucks to see SO much negativity!

    I hope I mean that

deep down I don’t’ think they will delete the rdrw on the 4R. it would be a foolish move imo. it’s a wow factor, that makes them stand out

Guanajuato was designed from day one to build vehicles on the TNGA-F platform. They have been building the non-DCSB units for a while.

Coexistence is the key thing here. Balance of physical and touch screen.

Our Outback has the huge touchscreen and it sucks. Its not safe to need a mouse to turn on a seat heater

We had a 2022 just traded in. The physical buttons where mixed into the huge screen. And, the alarms for safety were pretty annoying.
