6th gen Speculation Thread

After reading all the speculation and rumors of the new gen6 T4R, I thought it time to put it all to rest. I consulted my Magic 8 Ball (which is NEVER wrong) to put an end to it. Here it is……

 

Exciting reliable rumors to report: In a seance last night conducted by the world renowned clairvoyant and medium, Madame Arcati, I was able to make contact with the ghost of Toyota founder Kiichiro Toyoda. The connection established in the seance by Arcati was not great and Toyoda’s ghost started to tell us about the 3024 Land Cruiser. As you can imagine, we had great trouble understanding the design features of the 3024 “Cross-Galactic” model Land Cruiser and its technology but by the time we could correct the Ghost and get him to tell us about the 2024 LC, the room shook, the candle lights trembled, a great wind threw open the windows, and the Ouija board flew into the wall crashing to the ground in a thousand pieces. Our connection was lost! What a pity! But we did find out that Toyoda’s ghost will be publishing reliable rumors soon at @toyoda’sghost, so you will be able to read all the real down and dirty super duper exclusive insider info very soon! And in a fortnight, when the planets are aligned correctly, we will gather anew hand in hand with Madame Arcati around a new Ouija board from Amazon, and endeavor to make another perilous journey deep into the Nether world to scoop out the latest LC super duper exclusive insider reliable rumors just for y’ all! @Idayota More clickbait renders, there has been an outbreak of them this week. Many missing simple features and design ques, if they had bothered looking at the teasers.

But you did what they wanted, you clicked on it. We will have more teasers in a week or two, be patient, then we will get another rash of clickbait renders.

Not trying to sound paranoid, but just thinking how it could be fake.

The rear windows and body look a lot like the current GX/Prado, so it seems fishy to me.

Yes, and if the LC/Prado that is coming out looks like this 300 GR I might have to eat my hat. This 300 has real character. Just goes to show you that Toyota can do something great, if they want to. On the other hand, if the LC/Prado winds up looking like that pathetic Ford Bronco Sport/Flex render we see all too often, it will be a big pass. The margin between Toyota Heaven and Hell is defined by the two very different visions of the new LC. Pray, yes, pray it is the 300 GR version!!

 

Agreed, those of us enthusiasts who post information from verified Toyota insiders (aka, the Plano grapevine) and verified industry insiders (aka, @Carmaker1), along with informed speculation, get drowned out by the asshats.

@Idayota, this does not include you and other users that get confused by misinformation and clickbait websites. Nor does it include non-US members who discuss Toyota models they get but are not available here in the US, however, those tibbits do confuse some members who do not understand the differences. When some of us enthusiasts try to correct the narrative, in the "Speculation Thread", or do a deep dive into what we can learn from enhanced teaser photos, we get mocked by references to magic 8-balls, ghosts and seances.

@Bob and @Squatting Pigeon, I believe this website is a sister website to tacomaworld.com, does it have a similar level of misdirection for new model information, such as the upcoming 4th gen Tacoma?

Maybe we should change the name of this thread to "6th gen You're Wrong, I'm Right Thread" to support name calling.

 

It's probably worse, since TW has way more traffic. Heck, I have the highest post count here, and on TW there are folks over 100K!

Plus, this is a speculation thread, as @Beachguy just mentioned. I don't take anything I read in here too seriously, no matter who posts it.
