Awesome. Where did you drive from? Did you stay and camp on the point?

Drove from Edmonton to Kelowna then straight up. Did not stay on point - 5 degrees Celsius and raining so just day trip up

Went looking for views today, testing the new tires/rims. Rather foggy up high.

Your ride looks solid man. What's your wheel/tire and suspension set up?

Thank you! It’s nothing special, 1” spacer lift all around (1” spacer rear, 1/2” spacer front), 265/70r17 all terrains and some 1.25” wheel spacers. Just a subtle difference from stock, enough to set it apart a little bit without sacrificing ride quality or mpg.

I’m unsure if I would have added the spacer lift but it was already on the truck when I bought it and I don’t notice any degradation in ride quality, so I’ll just leave it be.

Scales Campground, Grayson Highlands, VA. The road to here was very rocky (small sized, not crawl sized). 4WD not needed but used it anyway. Used 4L on the decent to control speed. Great views on a clear day!

Mojave Narrows. I used to drive by it traveling from Crestline to Baldy Mesa for work.

That's the only place I've ever had my car broken into, fricken low desert tweakers.

That sucks. I had my FJ-40 broken into twice at my old job in the San Bernardino P-lot. Local LEO's and Security Guard's were a joke.

Oh and that area is considered the high desert but, tweakers are tweakers just the same.

Incarcerations aren't enough to satisfy the victims.

Thanks. Although the eyes aren't so good anymore, my memory still serves me good.
Many years ago, we could drive up & down the spillway and drive through the bypass tunnel. Which to us was great but, people started leaving too much trash and the residents that lived nearby called the Sheriffs when the bonfires got too big. This was back in the 80's & 90's.

This is my favorite thread! You get to see lots of great looking 4Runners and some very nice scenery! It's cool to see what is scenic to other people! Keep 'em coming! I hope to have a photo post here soon!

This reminds me of my solo camping days in my FJ-40 back in the 80's & 90's.
I built a platform on the roof and just tossed a sleeping bag up there.
Sleep under the stars on either Rabbit, Andersen, or Means Dry Lake's.
Or up in the East end of Big Bear Lake to Pioneer Town area.
Mostly in the summer and fall months.

Why have I never thought of sleeping on my roof? Thanks for the idea.
