Well if any of you 4Runner owners need to know your Part No. to your OEM Adjust Switch and/or Terminals, here you go:

    UPDATE:
    1. I had to wait until my Vendor was able to source all the OEM Terminals in order to place my order, but I can officially say now that I have placed the order for 100 4Runner Kits!
    2. Each Kit will come with a Custom Extension Wire Harness so you can choose whether you would like to route your Power Fold Actuators in your OEM O2 & O3 Connectors or if you would like to use the included Black JST Connectors. Given that the 4Runners only have 2 Open Spots in your OEM O2 & O3 Connectors, it really depends on what you have planned with your Mirrors. Therefore, I wanted to be able to give you as many wiring Options as possible.
    3. With that said, the Power Fold Actuator Wire will have a Female Terminal on the end so that you are able to insert it directly into the O2 & O3 Connectors. Likewise, on the Extension Harness, directly across from the Female Connector will be the Male Terminal that goes with it. Now you would think it would be it’s direct match, but it actually isn’t. Good thing I’ve done the research and I have been able to make sure each and everyone of this terminals are exactly the same ones we use in the Tacoma and 4Runner. To finish off the Extension Harness to make this Wiring Process Plug-N-Play, the 4Runners will have their Female Terminal on the end so that you are able to insert it directly into your OEM O1 Adjuster Switch Connector.
    4. I have also added an additional 3ft of Wire to the Extension Harness so you will not have to add any additional wire anymore.
    5. Therefore, if you get the DIY Kit it obviously will not be a Plug-N-Play Kit to begin with, but you will be creating one. If you get one of the other Kits, it will pretty much be a Plug-N-Play Kit with how I designed.
    6. I have also decided to take @CRAZMEX up on his offer and will be getting his adjuster plate made to add in the kit just for some extra stability. If you want to use it you can, you choose not to, that’s up to you. With the new mounting location going directly into the one mounting hole accompanied with a spacer below, it really auctioned everything up really tight and secure. However, I think having the adjuster Plate might make the other two mounting holes a little more secure. It will be nice to test here soon. Anyhow, I’m including it in the kit because if it helps, it’s worth it to me to help out the 4Runner Community. However, I will be doing it a little different than the originally make due to the fact that my mounting location is already in one of the OEM locations and @CRAZMEX doesn’t use an OEM mounting location as his main Adjuster Plate location. So...I will have three holes in the Adjuster Plate, one hole will be the same hole I currently use to mount the Connection Plate to the Adjuster Plate and to the OEM Adjuster Actuator. Then I will have the Adjuster Plate Screw into the other two locations of the Adjuster Actuator. Lastly, on the flip side, because the Connection Plate has other Mounting Holes that are not being used and they are offset, I will line them up to places in the Adjuster Plate and attach the Adjuster Plate to the Connection Plate. You will still need to shave down the two mounting holes as low as you can so it allows for the Actuator to get as low as possible. That does not change. However, this will fix any and all issues. Again, you will not need to remove your Mirror anymore from your Adjusting Actuator unless you are completing the RAV4 exchange.
    7. The PNP Harness had a bit of a hiccup due to the fact the the Female Connector is for some reason being a bit of a challenge right now to find, but I do not foresee it being a problem. There is an example on its way as a test. It should be here on Wednesday. If it is a go, then the Harnesses should be a go and will start to be put into production at the end of this coming week. Adding that to this Kit will just really put the icing on the cake for the complete Plug-N-Play.
    8. I have also asked for a Socket Female Connector to be added to the White Wire on the Harness so all you have to do is Connect it to the PNP Harness Socket Male Connector for the OEM Locking System Connection.
    9. The only thing left for you to do is purchase a Add-A-Curcuit and Fuse that you will need to connect to the Red Wire on the Harness so you can connect it to your choice of a Constant Power Source.

Ok. So you want me to do Option 3B, use a member that sends in their mirrors that are Turn Signals and Puddle Lights for you and then you send me your mirrors that are without Turn Signals? I send you a refund for $125 because technically I’m getting Package A back in Return. I use the remainder of your amount to purchase a Brand New set of with Turn Signal and Puddle Light for $390.60 bc that’s what I would need to continue the process of Option 3 Package B and that would leave me $109.40. After you remove total expenses of shipping and at cost expenses of the kit, I’m in the hole, that doesn’t even count me getting a cut at all for my time of building the mirrors or doing absolutely anything. On top of that, I do get your mirrors in return, but I will have to sit with your mirrors until I have another member that would like Power Folding Mirrors that doesn’t have turn signals and wants to do Option 3 Package A. To me, that does not seem like a route I would like to take at this time.

I just wanted to let you all know that I’m have a little bit of trouble sourcing the new Housing Connector for the 4Runner on the Female Side. If I’m not able to find a match, I’m going to have to scratch the PNP Harness unfortunately for the 4Runners. If that is the case, I will make sure to just refund that amount to each member. I haven’t given up in sourcing it and neither has my vendor. He is still looking and he still has a couple more coming in to try out. My fingers are crossed that one of them is a match.

Well I finally SHIPPED my last 5th Gen 4Runner order yesterday, so now ALL of the 4Runners from my First Run have been COMPLETED! This last one was a custom order with OPTION 2 PKG B w/ RIGID DITCH LIGHTS - @rayofsi. I’m very excited to see pics of his install and maybe some video clips. I ordered him some OEM terminals for his Connectors because I ran is Ditch Lights through his OEM Harness and into his last two open slots in his Connector.

    D07BFD52-55F1-48EB-9597-ED3BD399785F.jpg

I also had a couple extra custom black strips from when I did my person mirrors so I included those in his Kit. I figured if he wanted to give them a try on his 4Runner set, it might be pretty cool to get some shots of a 4Runner with Barcelona Red Mirrors with them on ;) I might be a little bias. I don’t know. I’ll let him post up the final pics though.

I’m happy to say that so far with the 4Runner Kits, I did not run into any real issues. Minor tweaks here and there with some mounting locations and whatnot but very minor things. Which is exciting. I’ve received an update on the bulk order I’ve placed and they are over halfway complete so the shipping date is coming soon for all the 4Runner Kits

Sorry if I missed it but is there any update on the PNP harness that you had a hiccup with?

Unfortunately the Female Connector is not offered for the 4Runner. I have searched Japan, China, Asia, USA, etc. Nobody has it. I’ve had multiple other people search for it as well and nobody has been able to locate it either. For some reason Toyota decided to switch it in their new model and it is not available. Therefore, when I send out the orders, I will be refunded the ones that purchased them. However, that should not stop one from getting this mod. There are a lot of different ways you can go about making a PNP if you would like to not tap into your wires. Here are some examples of ways that I have gone around tapping my factory wires:

    3B86F3B5-B4B6-451B-9978-0894B0CD33E1.jpg

Or since you really only need the LOCK Wire, you could use this example of mine:

Well the Adjustment Plates might arrive tomorrow but for sure on Friday but I will not have the time I need prior to my flight leaving to get the 4Runner Mirrors out :(

This will be the second thing on my list when I return from my trip on the 30th. Therefore, starting July, get your 4Runners ready for the install!!

For those that have placed your order, I have sent you all a PM asking if you would like to use the included Black JST Connector or if you would like me to install the wires directly into the OEM White O2 & O3 Connectors for Plug-N-Play Feature. If I do not hear from you prior to shipping, I will just go with the Black JST Connectors.

Thanks to @ who purchased OPTION 3 PKG B and returned his set with broken tabs, a big crack, and no puddle light bulbs, the next members in line @ and @ will now have a huge set back because I will have to order a brand new set from Toyota to replace his set he sent me. It is members like this that ruin this opportunity for others to have a great mod on their vehicle. What is sad is I went out of my way in the beginning to add him to the list when I wasn’t taking any orders at the time to begin with and I added him to the list. On top of that, when he first started his install, he didn’t bother to read the instructions and he attempted the install on his own frying the control module so I sent him a brand new control module at no cost. After that, he attempted to try to tell me that one of the motors wasn’t working to get a free set of motors from me. When I finally said no and stopped providing the great customer service that I didn’t have to provide, magically the motors were working just fine. It is extremely sad that there are people out there that will do this to others. Unfortunately, this situation has occurred and some other members are going to have to pay for this members wrong doing. However, this is exactly why I made the change with the Option 3 Package and the Refund opportunity you may receive after you return your Mirrors to me in good/excellent condition. I will be out $400 roughly that this will cost this time but it will not happen again. Plus, I will not do business with @Rajwinder701 again. Btw...here’s a picture of the crack in his set of mirrors he sent me for those that would like to see what one of you may have gotten from this member if I sent them to you.

    5CD009AF-C62B-48A9-9EC8-2100F7EC2CCA.jpg

The good news, @Jkdog, you may have to wait longer for your set now, but I did purchase you some LED 6K Puddle Light Bulbs that you will be receiving in your Brand New Mirrors that I will be ordering today!

Good job standing beside your work and ordering the new set but shame on the other guy. I hope he botched the install and frys his electrical system the first time it rains

Yeah. It’s a little frustrating when stuff like that happens because innocent people that are next in line are the ones that suffer and it makes me feel bad because they have to wait longer, but there’s nothing I can do. I did go out of my way for him but it is what it is. I will try to do a quick turn around for the next people in line. I already placed the order so now I’m just waiting for Toyota to ship them to me. Thanks for your kind words.

Is this the same guy I tried helping over the phone? Clearly his (professional) installer had no idea what they were doing. Heck I tried everything to mimic his problem and couldn't. Glad you stood your ground.

Yes. This is that same guy. Btw...thank you so much for helping me with that as well. I knew it wasn’t faulty equipment as I have everything tested by the factory before it gets shipped but you never know as sometimes things do slip through the cracks, so I took his word for it and I provided him the best customer service and so did YOU!!! That was like ALL DAY service. Haha.

    UPDATE:

Here’s a look at all the items in the 4Runner Kit. I will update it at some point on the first post. I figured since it is now complete, I should take another picture with everything that comes in the DIY Kit.

    UPDATE:

Anyone that has the older mirror style and is interested in this mod, I found out this weekend after I asked my vendor to send me a sample, that I can also do mirrors that are like the 2003 4Runner Model. If anyone is interested, just let me know as I would just need to order more of the Connection Plates since they are different.

I don't think it is, I would have to check closer to be sure, but I guessing it's not. It's most likely not.
The picture of the connection plate you posted looks a whole lot closer to the connection plate I have in the 2011.

Found this from a post in t4r. Wow, this mod looks amazing! I’m not the most handy/DIY person, so I want to get a feel for install difficulty before I order. Are you planning on posting video or instructions, or are you only sending instructions to those who order?

Also, congrats on this! Looks like you put in a ton of work to make it happen. Well done!

Edit: I’d be getting option 3B.

I'm having the same issue with the 2011 older style mirrors ---- the plate looks very similar to the ones you pictured --- they are not the same as the 5th gen mirrors in the instructions
the mirrors I'm working on are from a 2011 4Runner and the instructions and kit are for the 5th gen

    Please assist

Yeah, the 2011 mirrors (2010-2013?) are definitely not the same as the 2014+ mirrors. However they are all 5th gens. So the newer mirrors should/will mount to the 2011 doors with no issue.

I have decided to just buy the 2014+ mirrors, mod them and install the upgraded style. (Ordered last week)

It will cost me and extra $400 to buy the newer style but, I guess if I want this mod at this point I don't really have a choice. I hate to keep throwing money at parts and never realize any gains. I suspect there is a way to get it done with the original 2011 mirrors, but unless I can source the parts to experiment a little it might be tough to find out.

My 2011 mirrors are even more plain than the pics you sent, no turn signals and no puddle lights.

@KTJO 4x4 - have you found a solution to this issue with the older 5th gen mirrors?

@nglayton - thanks for sharing. I have a few concerns with getting the newer style mirrors.
    1. they're $200 per side as you mentioned for used
    2. I don't know if the "black" paint of the newer mirrors is the same "black" paint as whatever years the newer used ones come from
    3. I'm really afraid to go new OEM style aftermarket as I don't know what their guts will look like either

where did you order your mirrors from?
