$5,700 for regear and eaton e-locker

That was the complete install price, but then you have to drive your 4runner out to the dirty IE. I'm not sure how they're doing $2k installs and all shops in Phoenix are quoting 4700 with no locker addition

My $4700 quotes were with a ecgs 3rd. I think there's around a $1600 core charge included there, but have no idea what the return shipping or the total final cost. Two shops had about this same exact quote. I couldn't gear a clear answer but was under the impression it would end up being around $3900 with the core returned.

Another quote was $4700 before upgrades for nitro gears, no core fee.

Add $2k for a front locker and maybe a little more labor

 

$4,700-$5,700 quotes for this makes me glad I can do this myself. Looks like ECGS has a $400 core charge for the front and the same for the rear which is refunded upon receipt of your cores. They ship both assembled units free but the customer pays to ship the cores which if I'm not mistaken are about 65lbs each. It appears, even when a shop uses complete units, they are still representing at least half the job of the entire shooting match. Very reasonable for those that can do their own install but a much bigger pill to swallow if you have to pay someone else.

They offer tunes for our 5th gen 4runners. I think it made a good difference compared to stock. Especially if your running larger tires or towing. Just a little extra get up an go.
