is that from your dash cam?

I had a situation like that just this evening. Although it was at much closer distance. Being able to steer my way out of their way as I slammed on the brakes kept me from t boning a Benz. Ugh. No way the guy even looked. I even had my PIAA fogs on since it was raining. 6 lights on and still pulled right out in front of me. ARGH

Yeah it was my cam. I was on the way to the beach. Its about time I upgraded the dash cam though, mine is quite old and video sometimes turns into a slideshow. Maybe add a rear cam while I'm at it.

Did you catch your event on video? Sounds exciting.

Well the girl was probably quite scared afterward. Kept at least 5 car lengths behind me and approached the light very slowly lol

Unfortunately no, not on camera. The person I nearly pummeled pulled over in an intersection (wtf) of a residential street to let me pass by, but not before going a good 500 feet at about 10mph. They kept their distance after the whole ordeal.

Wowwwwie! I love when people just decide they're gonna do a CALI-ROLL through a red light into a right-hand turn without thinking to look out the drivers side window first. Morons.

Glad you didn't hit the dumbass, but BEAUTIFUL footage in case you had hit them. Documented stale yellow and they just rolled right out in front of you.

Btw your horn sounds kinda ghey in the video

Hah. Most important thing is to keep calm yourself. Unless the other person decides to get out of the vehicle and confront you.

Happens all the time here. Having the camera is a big thing nowadays. People rarely ever stop for you as "witnesses". Was in my moms car which doesn't have a dash cam going to the airport a few weeks ago, rolled to a stop waiting to queue up to roll to the terminals. Came to a stop, car behind stops, were both stopped for a good 5 seconds and WHAM. Some 17 year old in a brand new BMW 5 series slams into the car behind, which then slams into our tow hitch. No damage. The little Chevy got smashed up real good though. Insurance kept asking for witnesses and such to take the blame off. I think in the UK/Europe you get cheaper insurance if you prove you own a dash cam, they should bring that to the US.

The horn has never sounded manly, the camera just makes it worse. I've wanted new horns but I rarely use it so I never saw a reason to do it. Suggestions? lol

The hella Supertones are pretty cool sounding, but I prefer Sam's train horns!

I want to get a dash cam and I want the GoPro for my bike helmet both to make videos for fun, and to have it just in case it's needed... Knock on wood

you could have stopped for the yellow light
in ny you most likely would have gotten a red light camera ticket
yellow lights do not mean punch it to beat the red light
other car is partially to blame as well.....
life is to short to have it ruined so u can get to the beach 2 mins faster

Nope it's the turning driver's fault regardless because they didn't look before pulling out

I didn't speed up in any part of that.

I hate younger drivers just as much as the next but do not pass your judgment upon me like I make up the whole of my generation.

You just posted a video on a public forum clearly showing you making no attempt to stop at / for a yellow light
Agreed the other car was wring too
All i am saying is its unsafe to do so as clearly seen in the video
Not a smart move on anyones part regardless of age

Come on man, I let off the gas when it turned yellow, and it did stay yellow even after I passed both limit lines. I was even doing speed limit. The 25 fps video makes it look like I was moving faster but I guarantee you I wasn't speeding.

    Give me a break, I'm 26 but I feel like I'm 40, and on the highway I drive like I'm 60.

Edit - Just use the time stamps, by the time the girls car is visible to the time she started moving I had 1 second to react. The camera is mounted up high so it can spot the car much earlier than I did.

Still do stupid things at times
I am Not looking to hang u out or whatever
And i dint want to screw up live anymore so
Lets get it back on track
