I couldn’t take the “red”. It reminds me of a positive COVID test.

Before I got my hood painted, bumper, and fender. Had the hood wrap and Limited rims. I replaced my rear springs with stock, added like two inches.3F06B104-1F8E-4B92-8E59-25BB5D59A4ED.jpg

I past a guy with his front end smashed from a deer. Then got behind a car swerving all over. Be careful out there!

Borla exhaust, Jet MAF sensor, K&N filter, Hayden rapid cool transmission cooler, Hella horns, electric fan, Pedal Commander, Derale power steering cooler,
My 2001 in brilliant blue with thunder gray trim and it was prettiest 3 rd generation I have seen. They were trying to introduce some color back then but they are rare in Tennessee. Usually desert fine and tan. Thank God that is gone. Heads up the meguairs ceramic makes it wet and slick and beads water into gobs in sheets of water globs. If you want to do it when you wash them try Aerolon wax apply wet after washing and rinse off. Designed for big stuff like boats and planes but works great on once every 7 months I believe it recommends. It's okay, but Meguairs ceramic hybrid is pretty nice and I have seen graphene wax doing some impressive stuff. I bought this 2001 and I didn't realize that you have to have a 2001trans for 2000,01,02 265k on odometer and it looked like it had been taken pretty good care of out of Nashville in 2021 but I changed transmission fluid and knowing better I put just a little Lucas oil and it went out about 2 months later . Started hearing it sound like it had marbles in it when it went to 4th gear and in two months the only thing it was doing was doing in gear running was the marble sound so I only use Toyota stuff in my Toyota or Beck- Arnly are pretty good imported parts. I bought counterfeit parts from Amazon and my valve cover gaskets melted and leaked the same after I drove it for a day. Even rubber grommet washers melted. So if you buy make sure they are coming from a Toyota dealership or parts online department. I find calling a dealership so you talk to someone you know. I call Labadie Toyota in Michigan and I live in Tennessee but I get wipers and filters shipped cheaper than I can buy here. Poor people or people with a lot of money will drive a Toyota until it just doesn't start anymore, granted I don't know when that is, but if it's 3 rd generation and cranks but won't start without codes because a lot of people are still running original timing belts at 300k because they don't know any better and the haven't needed anything. I have a 3rd generation computer for a 1997 4runner limited with a Jet performance chip in it if anyone needs one cheap and would like smoother idling and better mileage it helps especially with the TRD exhaust system and the Cold air box with electric fans and I was getting 24 mpg on the highway and about the same no matter what driving I did. I bought a 98 after I wrecked my 97 and computer won't fit anything but a 1997. That's one thing Toyota changes every year or they used to. It may be more likely there's multiple computers connected that the ECU runs everything from. Hence the no chip nowadays it's about a program and a lap top. I don't know how they will beat a third generation for dependability but I am impressed with the 5th generation in every way but 3rd row seats in what is a 5 person at the most vehicle. That's why I think the 6th generation 4runner next year will be on the new Land Cruiser platform to reduce weight, size costs. Apparently Japan supplies Land Cruisers to the United nations more than they sell but they are lower production and V8s and 6s are going to be a thing of the past. I would look for a 400hp hybrid in 7th generation and maybe before. Toyota usually test their technology on Lexus and then it filters down to Toyota. So a 3 cylinder like in the GR Corolla but with a 100 or 150 horse hybrid drive it would tow more and if we could get an actual diesel engine for hybrid so you can operate on cooking oil or natural gas would be the ultimate outlander 4runner if you want to live in one or have to. Imagine a turbo 4 hybrid with 8 speed and 4:88s and you could run your camper off battery at night with auto start and shut off automatically. Another thing you should be able to access your speedometer settings so when you put tires on it you can put in the size and mph will be correct. I see TRD Camrys now. They are selling a package more they were really faster. Handle good. Pretty colors. I like that paint that has batteries in it. Octane and the bright blue are the rarest colors I see the least so far. Buy from a different dealer that doesn't sell Toyota and you will get a better deal. Certified have best warranty but for what you pay and what it will pay you it's not necessary. Rotate regularly front and back and criss cross with mud and all terrain tires to get best mileage out of it. I would run my hand across the face of my looking for chop then criss cross rotate wear high spots back . To expensive now not get as many miles as you can. Worn out tire tires will make think the wheel bearings are falling out.

If you will put oil filter hand tight with a quarter turn, after snug and you never had to use a wrench again.

I’m never changing my oil again. For over twenty years, I’ve been changing it every 3,500 miles. Then I read the manual recently and it says every 4,500 miles. And since changing it less often my “Toyota tick” went away.

10k is fine with Toyota filter and synthetic motor oil. I used to change that filter in the middle but it doesn't make a difference. The last I bought was 20k and gear oil 75W90. It's supposed to be good for 500k but I will never know.

Mine never used oil and I drove 40miles without an engine fan. You can't cook it, never a problem. Inner tie rod was only thing only thing I replaced but they corrected them in 99 I think at 225k miles.

I’m having a good day today after a night of smoke in the house. I saw a 6 point buck hit on the side of the road. Not sure how fresh I did a double take thought it was bigger, I was gonna take his head. And I made my first “Bluetooth” phone call in the Corolla!IMG_1355.jpg
