Just picked up our new 2025 Camry XLE (wife's new car) on Saturday. It's super quiet, gets great gas mileage, and is much quicker than I expected. Interior is well done as well.

With the addition of a 2024 GR86 Premium 6MT to replace my Jeep TJ as my new toy, I now have an all Toyota Garage!

(ok, we can argue the GR86 is a Subaru but it's got Toyota Badges so I'm counting it)

Good, but expensive couple of weeks!!!

And since this is a 4Runner forum, I should note that the 4Runner did not become a 3rd class citizen. They all fit in the garage

I'll take some tomorrow when it's light out.
Anything in particular you want to see?

The dash layout and if it has hard buttons for basic controls. Does the screen size vary with the trim level?
    Thanks

It does have hard buttons for basic controls HVAC, drive modes etc... the screen size does vary depending on the model. The XLE has a 12.3' screen and the guage cluster is a display as well.

Will get you pictures in the morning.

I leased a 2021 Corolla Hybrid for just shy of three years and am so glad to be rid of it. It was excellent on gas, but my god that car felt so cheaply assembled. It was so disappointing especially for a Japanese built car, but maybe I got a covid build. There were multiple interior rattles and buzzes that I was never able to figure out. The heat took absolutely forever to warm up (AC was decent enough, especially once I put tint on the windows). There was no storage space to put things anywhere, just two cupholders and the little tray below the radio. CarPlay was nice to have at that price point. Engine screamed going up even the slightest incline, but was able to keep up with traffic in the city at least. More road noise than I consider acceptable in a modern car, couldn't have a conversation above 55mph without raising your voice. Apparently they've made a few improvements since 2021, so I would take a loooooooooong test drive and get it up to highway speed if you're seriously considering one. It's one car I don't miss.

When did they sell wagons? I love the body style, but I thought it was just Europeans selling them.

@broken-giver In the 90s before suvs took over. They werent great looking then but I'd think the new Camrys lines would look great with a hatchback

The first new car my family ever bought was a '72 Corolla wagon, a 5-speed manual. It was a great vehicle. I can't remember how long it lasted, because I was long gone by then, but it was somewhere around 20 years.

I begged the wife to go for an AWD Camry Hybrid but she just "had to have" an SUV. I'm still bitter - would have been the perfect compliment to the 4R (which we use for all travel) and she doesn't leave a 7mi square area for work.

Thanks! That does look good. It this the top of the line trim or one below it?

It's the XLE trim, which is pretty much top of the line. There is an XSE that is similar but more "sport" oriented. The XLE and XSE are the two top of line trims but geared towards more luxury vs more sporty.

We opted out of the panoramic roof. Although, it comes with a couple of other things (JBL, memory seats ) but is a $4k option. Much like me, she is anti sunroof for many reasons.

My wife wanted the XLE because the XSE only comes in black or red leather interior. The XLE cones in a light grey or black. She wanted the light grey. She also didn't like the front grill on the XSE. She liked the black wheels on the XSE but that is an easy fix when (and if ) She decides she wants different wheels. Based on her car history, that won't ever happen.

The battery power kicks in inside city limits where you are at lower RPM’s all Hybrids are like this. My wife’s Rav-4 gets over 50 in town, think battery power. While on the Highway it is around 40+ think no battery power.

He claimed those numbers on regular gas engine. I have a clear and consistent understanding how the hybrid system works under different driving conditions. They love city traffic.

Every Toyota Camry will need a new plastic gas tank and lines after ten years. Or you will just leak gas and if you dont have emissions, prob catch on fire?
