A not particularly big dealer up the road from me has 11 Tundras, all have 2-7k in discounts listed including 2025s.

    https://www.concordtoyota.com/new-inventory/index.htm?model=Tundra&model=Tundra i-FORCE MAX

They also have 39 Tacos and all but the trail hunter have discounts listed.

Another one near me has 78 Tacos and 29 Tundras, most on lot and some in transit.

    https://www.dublintoyota.com/searchnew.aspx

Maybe your dealer is not one that Toyota gives allocations to.

Two weeks ago, I was at a volume dealer 60 minutes away from me with a friend who is looking for a Rav4. The lines of Tundras and Tacos there were...breathtaking.

Amazingly all the hot hot hot 25 Tundras all had 3k to 5k discounts on prominently displayed. How odd.

Did I read right that only the Platinum trim has the heads up display?

Yes it appears to only come on Platinum.

Nor do I see it as an add-on option for other models. But I did see on a website that said it could be added on a 'luxury item'. But not sure what package is.

That’s what I thought and saw too. It’s a shame I can’t get everything I want on either a new Tacoma or 4R. No green Tacomas right now, maybe 25 will offer one.

The TH and Pro Tacoma have the heads up display. TH, both models, don’t have a moon roof.

The OR premium 4R is probably the closest to everything I want. Green/everest, moonroof, rear window that goes down but no high air intake as an option or HUD. Good thing I don’t really need anything new, I just like the new and “shiny”

Saving up more (down payment) could put me in more debt with a GX550 in a green too…

I saw on the 4R full press release pdf that only the platinum has the hud. Not listed as an option for any other trims

You really do need to get another hobby. I know, go stare at your outdated, slower, antiquated, less technology, less HP, less torque, less towing capacity 5th gen that looks the same as a 2010 model and continue to tell yourself you are happy with that....or you can stay here and play the charade you've been playing by trying to convince yourself you are not in love with the new, modernized, faster, stronger, more powerful, more capable 6th gen. I know on my 5th Gen, the navigation looked like a 3rd grader was sketching out my route as I was driving. Useless. I hope that is better on you 2023 antiquated model. Now stop trolling, so I can stop too. LOL

Save up for the modernized, more powerful, better equipped version and stop complaining about silly things like destination charges. You must not even realize that upgrading to the Sport Premium gets you a lot more than just power driver seat. You're not good at this stuff. Embarrassing yourself. Go away now .

Oh "sport premium", how baller. LMAO.

Enjoy daydreaming balling in you >60k 8.1 second(based on the super modern and power hybrid LC250 tests) 0-60 "modern powerful" SUV(that's slower than a 24) while you drive around in your 9 year old SR5 ranting about ORP owners this and that. LOL.

no one is trying to change your mind bud, I personally know an engineer at Toyota that works on the Tacoma project directly under Sheldon brown (chief engineer of Tacoma project) in Plano. After talking to him and I’m on tacomaworld where there’s a plethora of known design flaws with the Tacoma which is the exact same car as the 4Runner, I will be staying away. Yea it’s a 4cylinder turbo and expensive blah blah but those aren’t the reasons keeping me away. I don’t wish bad on anyone especially someone who is going to spend over 60k on a vehicle and I truly wish them the best of luck, I know my 5th gen isn’t perfect it has design flaws but god help those who buy the 6th gen

The thing is Toyota engineers have by now figured out that 99.5% of its buyers don't use the over built 5th gen and older gens for more than Prius usage. There are a lot of corners that can be cut engineering wise and nearly all buyers won't notice a difference, so why not jack up the prices and give them some trinkets to distract them from driving, just look at this thread, plenty of people are dying to get their hands on the 6th gen no matter what.

Just look at Honda Passports and Nissan Pathfinders, after they switched to unibody minivan chassis and drivetrain the sales are higher than ever did when they were more rugged BOF construction. If Toyota switches to unibody for a future generation of 4Runners, there will be no shortage of people marveling at the "modern, powerful, features, comfort" of it all.

Thats unreal starting price of $57k with a cloth interior and all the plastic. I mean don't get me wrong I like basic but comparing that to the 5th Gen SR5's started in low $40s for 2024 I am not really sure what you're gaining here other than a Land Cruiser name and more eco-friendly engine. Personally I like the $17k green more so in my pocket.

the LC250 is there to show the performance upper limit of the 4runner Pro/Trailhunter/Hybrids since it has the same turbo motor with the same hybrid helping with the electric assist, pushing roughly the same weight about about 5450 lbs. But since you mentioned it, if you think that LC interior looks unreal level awesome, you will LOVE the base "40k" 2wd 4R SR5's interior when they get here. LOL

Oh and never mind the manual seats in the 50k OR, in the SR5 don't forget to include cost of a spare tire and skip plate type covers since the SR5s won't include those. If Tacos are any indication, the cheapest fleet spec ones around my area are about 36k MSRP, 4k higher than Toyota's official 31.5k starting price. If that's any predictor of how they are producing units. it will be hard to find 6th gen 4wd 4Rs under 50k at least the first year or so.

Yeah ironically saw a video of the base 4R with no power seat for 2025. I guess this is what they push now when everyone was willing to pay way over MSRP for certain 4Rs the last few years. They found what the market will bear.

The regular OR has no power seat either

at 6:10. cloth manual seats in a 49k vehicle and the interior is worse than a nissan rogue

I don't mind them removing features if cost goes down. Alas.

I see your point there also. Sadly though while they take away power drivers seat you will now pay $450 for roof rack cross bars at the port should you want them whereas they cost $180 in 2024.

I cannot imagine the new roof rack cross bars have any new tech, iforce anything, or any rare precious metals to warrant that large of a one year increase.

I am not a fan personally of the Weather Tec wheel well trim also on the new model. A few years of sun will fade those Weather Tec Wheel Wells right out.

Yeah. I agree. But evidently Toyota is a different mindset. I expect more than what we have now for these prices.

    How about a few?
Shock top hat failure due to no bump stops
    Transmission failing
The rear brake lines are routed inside of the wheels so if the wheel gets packed with mud or snow it rips the brake line off.

None of those have failed on my 2024 Tacoma Off-road Premium truck.

The transmission issue was a supplier issue, not a design defect. It was a QA issue on their part.

We don’t get snow here, so it’s a non issue. So far this winter I am not seeing a shit ton of reports on failures.

Besides, you aren’t Pavo. I wanted to hear his inside info, not bullshit from you.

What happened to your account on Tacomaworld? You get the boot or just banned from the 4th gen forum for being so negative all the time?

Oh, I forgot. You are on my ignore list there. Thank god.
