Offroad wheels are 7.5" wide so I can use 285/70R17 tires vs with 7.0" TRD pro wheels I can only run up to 275/70R17. Unless I go skinny and firm 255/80R17 (only available in load E)

Also little added protection TRD Offroad wheels have around valve stem where TRD Pro valve don't have anything like that.

Toyota of Plano (in Texas) has a LR pro on their website. They generally do not charge over msrp. If you are still looking. Still unconfirmed rumors that LR will be available on all trd trims next year (leaked dealer build sheet shows it)

    This is simple

Ask to be emailed a copy of the manufacturers specifications listing with the VIN number on it.

That will list all the Toyota factory options with current MSRP prices for each line item installed at factory and or port.

I agree with the others they are pulling your chain here.

7.5" width (Off Road) vs 7" width (TRD Pro). Wider wheels are better for larger tires.

My sales guy told me once they got the allocation for my Lunar Rock. Then he called me the next week to tell me the date it was being built in Japan. They do have access to that information.

Glad you kicked the deal. Carlsbad is notorious for overpricing and screwing people.
Also, recently (About a year or so) Toyota Escondido had a management change and quality has gone completely downhill.
Third, I'd suggest staying very far away from Toyota Kearney Mesa as well. I went through about 6 months of complete nightmare with them on my last purchase.
^All based on personal experience. I've frequented most of the SD Toyota dealers, as I've been in a toyota for 15 years in the area. If you'd like more details, I'll share.

New cars are hard to get right now.

Selling like hotcakes right now due to supply. Surprising there isn't a wait list for it.

There is a wait list. That's essentially what the allocation process is for Toyota. A dealership puts in a request for a vehicle, Toyota gives them the allocation, the vehicle is built, then the vehicle is delivered to the dealership.

The allocation is what can take a while. I ordered mine in the middle of March and they finally got the allocation a couple of weeks ago.

I hope it won't get worse like some countries like Sri Lanka (where I was born), where we have to pay about $73K for a used 2018 CR-V :frustrated:

Fair enough, but I do like look of the pro wheels better

Any info on that sheet which ones army green will be available in? I am thinking about trading my Taco in if I can get a runner in green with a locker, no sunroof.

First time post (Hello all), casual lurker up to this point.

They must've just sold this one b/c date of first use based on VIN lookup was 06/21. I have been looking for one of these for the last month. Seems the entire state of Georgia doesn't have any LR unless they are marked up way over MSRP. I have a deposit on one I put down 5/29 but after reading all these threads, wondering if I will miss out since I waited till end of May. Upgrading my 2006 Taco with 270K because I need space for another car seat and have my heart set on a LR Pro. Dont mind waiting it out if I knew I was getting one but so far the dealer said it's only preferenced at the moment. Anyone know of any dealerships in southeast that have any LR Pro's and charging at or slightly above MSRP?

I meant wait list of buyers at his dealer. You can't stop by and order a Pro here. Pretty much will but put on the list but never get it. The line is loooong.

The wait list could exist because the dealer says it exists. It could very well be an attempt to get OP to jump on the deal.

It’s not on the site anymore and my guy says it sold. They tend to deal very well and are generally attentive, helps that they are right next to corporate headquarters for the US, so any shenanigans might get them in trouble.

After jumping into the 4runner post for a little while and seen this I had to say. Oh boy what a mark up again. I buy Pros but only pay msrp. No way I would paying that. If you keep searching you can find one for msrp if you want a Pro. If not you sure can do a lot with $8400 with mods.

The real kicker is going to come when the economy falters and buying slows, while simultaneously computer chip manufacturing starts catching up and loads of new vehicles finally get delivered. Dealerships are going to go from one extreme of having almost no new vehicles to sell, to the other end of having way too many and not enough buyers.

This coming year is going to be very interesting on many levels and I wonder how the auto prices and financing will be in a year. Last time the economy crashed in 2008, Toyota rolled out unbelievably low 0.1 or 0.3% financing or something like that to entice buyers. It was pretty crazy.

Agree. Financing won’t be the deciding factor for most though. Purchasing decisions will be based on actual expenses that will result in significant budget adjustments. Inflation will drive those expenses up and wreck those household budgets. We are already seeing this in the price of electricity, fuel and groceries. I fear hyper-inflation is coming, and with it another recession.

I’m on the waitlist for a LR Pro from Freeman Toyota in Santa Rosa. I spoke with them on the phone and they said that they are not marking up any of their 4Runners. I’ve been on the list now for about six weeks. Hoping to get a call soon.

Thanks! Unfortunately it is competitive everywhere for these vehicles and I refuse to pay more than MSRP. Hopefully my patients pays off.
