New model year 4Runners usually come out in October. I think the 2021's are going to be late this year due to Covid......or at least be very limited in supply.

The lack of supply right now is also due to Covid. The plant in Japan shut down, the parts suppliers shut down, shipping was halted, dealerships closed, ect.... But people started buying again when the dealerships re-opened, so the dealerships have been mostly running on their pre-covid inventory without getting many new shipments in.

More 2020's will trickle in for sure, but I think 2021's will be pushed back a little as a result.

I have three Toyota dealers near me, each with a couple hundred cars on the lot. There's not a single TRD OR between them. One has two SR5s and a Limited. The second has one SR5 and a Limited. The third has two Limiteds.

The first dealer (where I got my truck) is advertising $3500 off MSRP for the SR5s and $4000 off the Limited. The others are showing MSRP or only $1500 off.

Oh, in case it says anything about color choices, two of the three unsold SR5s are red and all three of the unsold Limiteds are white. IMO white is the absolute worst color on the Limited. Does NOT go well with all that chrome.

Not white, but Blizzard Pearl. IMO it should not be offered except on 2WD models.

Interesting, why should it be offered only be on 2WD models? LOL does white (or "Blizzard Pearl") prevent locking a differential?

It's just a personal distaste. Someone at work and his wife both drive a Lexus in Blizzard Pearl. It's a fine color, but it's a luxury vehicle color and not befitting a 4Runner, IMO. There's no more significant reasoning behind my view than this.

*I actually don't mind the BP-Nightshade, and I think the white looks quite nice on the other 4Rs, and although I'm not into the blacked out look I like the "stormtrooper white" that some build.

It's interesting that the few that remain are on sale.

I guess Barcelona Red and Blizzard Pearl are just that unpopular.

Very interesting. I am vacillating on color choice between Nautical Blue and Barcelona Red. I figured red would be super-popular. *Shrug* What do I know?!

We did a very informal poll around here about favorite 4Runner color and if I remember correctly, Barcelona Red was on the bottom of the list.......although I don't even think Blizzard Pearl was considered. Barcelona Red being so low on the list surprised me a little.

If there are deals to be had on Barcelona Red out there, I'd jump on it! I dig that color.

Those wheels + Cement color is definitely a tough combo to beat.

I bought Barcelona Red because I got a great deal on it. Having lived with it a while, I absolutely love it. The color is called Wildfire elsewhere in the world, and I think Toyota would have been wise to use that name here. Barcelona Red doesn't sound very cool.

I keep vacillating between these two colors. I’m just hesitant that red will be too flashy for me personally.

I don’t want to attract too much attention.

I don't drive red cars myself, but that red is a good looking vehicle. That said, if you could get the blue OR and add the new Trail wheels to it...

Nautical Blue is *very* dark in person. That picture you posted is as bright as it gets. Most of the time, it looks closer to black. It's gorgeous when it's clean, though.

And some people may like it because it's stealthy, but it's too dark for me personally. Hard to keep clean. Shows every scratch.

I think Barcelona Red can look quite good when paired with the right color wheels and other trim. But it doesn't seem quite right in some of the stock forms, especially on the Limited with all that chrome.

I've always liked Nautical Blue and agree it is way darker in real life than in Wil Van's pic from this morning. I've never seen it on a Limited so it wasn't even a choice for me there. But I can imagine it working well.

Super White isn't bad, but like the red it's important to have the right wheel and trim combo. A recent poster showed his and it looked way sweet in the photo. I think that was due in large part to the dark wheels and blacked out trim and, at least in the photo, what seemed to be extra dark tint on the windows. Someone had mentioned the Star Wars Stormtrooper look that some owners go for, especially on Pro models, with everything pretty black except for the body. I agree that does look good.

I think the most complimentary color on the stock OR is black, perhaps followed by grey and blue. The grey looks especially good with the TRD wheels. The SR5 suffers visually from its stock wheels, but can look super sweet with the TRD wheels. And I like that it doesn't have the fake hood scoop.

The Limited has, er, limited good colors because of all that chrome. To me, the only really good color I've seen on the Limited is the grey. And the Blizzard Pearl is just awful. Combined with all that chrome, it looks gaudy. And bloated. Like a gaudy beached whale.

I haven't seen Cement or Army Green in person, but both sure look awesome in photos.

Spot on description of NB. In shade it's black. Direct sunlight the metallic blue really pops. It's what sold me on trading my '08 for my '20.

Excellent analysis on the colors. I like black too. But my criticism is that the trucks are all trending toward black (my 2019 Tacoma included!). Black wheels, black trim, black graphics, black emblems. I feel like it's starting to wash out the details of the truck. Especially with black paint.

I have the black TRD Pro 4Runner wheels on my Tacoma. But if I trade it in for a 5th gen 4Runner, I'll keep the stock ORP/Trail wheels that come on the truck. I think I have decided I prefer a splash of contrast that the alloys provide.

I think the Nautical Blue will fit my needs. A bit understated, but beautiful in direct sunlight.

This stands the same by me , within a hour or two of me that I was willing to drive I could only find sr5’s , a few sr5 premiums and like 1-2 trd off road premium . I really wanted the Trd off-road but they didn’t have a color I wanted so I grabbed a sr5 premium and while it’s not exactly what I wanted I’m happy and have to say I love the truck and got the color I wanted .

Ty it’s white 2020 , definitely nothing wrong with it at all . Imo the scoop kind of looks cool but being non functional it’s not needed . I really would like a set of Trd pro wheels though . I got it 2 weeks ago . All ready added led and black out emblems . Plan to do some more soon .

Check out this white SR5 that was just posted to the forum. Looks awesome with the TRD wheels. Maybe you guys can compare notes.

2wd trail addition is going to be like the prerunner Tacoma. I hate it when Toyota adds an appearance package to make a 2wd model look like a 4wd drive model, makes everything a little more confusing. This will be really confusing because the very name suggests it should have 4wd. WFT Toyota?!

Edit: I understand why people would do it for better looking wheels but why cant Toyota ad that as an option rather than making it a trim?

White, the fastest color. We have 4 red cars right now and it’s time for a change. I like a white fully blacked out.

Scientifically speaking white retains less heat so it may be the fastest color lol j/k love my white 4Runner , have not had a white vehicle in ages , they look so nice but I do like all colors .
