Do you think that fairing would work on the new rack?

It’s the only reason why I bought the cement 4Runner - if it didn’t come in cement I wouldn’t have bought one. The FJ is a much better vehicle in my opinion but the 4Runner is more fancy. I love them both in cement

Crap, I still don't know what a fairing is. Sorry guys

Is that like the wind deflector? If so, I don't know but the FJ rack is closer to the front of the vehicle and the 4Runner is 3/4 back. So it might look silly.

The pro rack is the opposite of nice. Looks like an afterthought. Just my opinion.

Thanks guys for the reply. Yeah, you figured out what I was asking. I have decided to replace my 19 TRD Pro roof rack, I think I am going with the 2018 version and have it powder coated black entirely. Do you think the bolt holes will line up? Is there a good place to get this outside of the dealer?

    Thanks very much.

Yes it's a straight bolt on. Keep an eye out in the for sale threads. Those that buy after market racks often have their stock racks for sale. Hope this helps.

I just want to double check with you guys/girls. I'm thinking about getting a new 19' TRD Pro, but I'm not sold on the roof rack yet. I can pull the new one off and put the old one on with out any mods correct?

    Thank you!

Yes, then put the other up for sale as there seems to be a lot that like it. I think it looks like having one of these on your roof. :D

Thank you! LoL. Thats funny. I mainly use a roof rack to haul my skis and snowboard inside a yakima cargo skybox, so no real use for that roof rack.

I'll clarify something super simple since I have both the FJ Cruiser with the air dam (OEM name for it See post #69) and the 4Runner PRO without the FJ looking roof rack and now with the FJ looking roof rack that came off the 2019 PRO.

The 4Runner roof racks are a direct bolt on and off. Took 30 mins to remove generic 4runner roof rack and replace with 19 Pro roof rack.
The FJ Rack does NOT fit whatsoever as it has 6 mounting spots and the 4Runner has 4 and besides that they aren't even the same dimension.
The FJ air dam does NOT fit on the 19 Pro roof rack and will look silly sitting in the middle of the roof rather than up front like the FJ does.

People have seems to buy and sell a few racks on this posting so we might as well keep it going here.
For shipping the 19 Pro rack - No problem. It comes apart at the rear and splits in 2 pieces and then all you have left are the 4 cross bars and a bag of bolts. Shipping is no problem but if you can meet locally then thumbs up.

    Agreed. It looks great.

The east coast has them for sale at the dealerships for $699 plus tax.

Since so many ppl claim to hate them just wait for one to be offered on this post

The rack comes off with 8 bolts, and it comes with caps if you remove it. I already dinged mine in. Parking garage. It fit okay going in, but to slight body roll when turning caught the back of the rack.

Are we talking about the Pro's rack? When you say it comes with caps what does that mean? Lastly, are those Torx bolts holding it?

    Thanks
