Any status on your Gobi rack yet? Curious as I want one for my week old TRD off road as well but the wait will be tough.

Nope, no word yet. However, I was not expecting the Gobi Stealth Rack until some time in October.

Like I said before, it should have been the first thing I ordered for this truck.

I received an email from Gobi today. Stealth Rack is scheduled for October delivery.

I installed the Pedal Commander today.

Total install time was about 10 minutes.

The Pedal Commander does exactly as advertised. It's a lot of fun to play with to see which setting might best suit. The throttle response is easily adjusted from a stock, mushy, non responsive Pedal feel all the way to too much response!

This is a perceived performance increase, not any increase in HP or Torque. Having the increase in throttle response makes the truck more fun to drive and more responsive. The 4Runner does not feel like a dog anymore.

I settled in to City Mode on #4. This setting gets rid of the Pedal feel lag or wait. For more spirited driving and even greater throttle response I'll go higher.

I have really been enjoying driving this 4Runner the last couple of months.

We have gotten a lot of rain in VA and the dirt roads have a lot of pot holes and wash board. The 4Runner with the Icon suspension makes everything almost unnoticeable at 30-40mph. Some say the Icon suspension is too stiff. Firm, yes. Maybe even more firm than the Pro suspension, but it will be perfect with a Bumper and Winch which is due soon in the future.

Overall, I have no complaints with the Icon suspension at all.

I ordered the Southern Style Off-Road, Slim-Line Front Bumper this afternoon.

I already have the Warn Winch and the Rigid 30" SR-Pro to be installed in the bumper.

I am excited to get the Bumper installed but it may take 6-8 weeks to be delivered.

it's worth the wait, bud. it looks great, you're gonna love it. I opted for the 20" bar since the loop on the bumper covers the corners where the light sits. less o'course you order without loop.

Are you talking about the Shackle Mounts (D-Ring Mounts) being close to the ends of the LED?

Do you think these will block the light output to the sides?

I think he's talking about the push bar that protects the front grill...? Unless you've ordered it without the push bar..

caps is right. they used to call it a loop, less they change it to push bar, either way yes push bar covers the corners of the grill so, if your light bar sits inside your grill you may loose a little light dispersion.

Maybe this is a newer version of their front bumper?

The Southern Style Off-Road Bumper has the 30" LED mounted lower in the Bumper itself. The Push Bar is much higher in the Grill area. If anything, the Shackle Mounts MAY slightly affect the LED light to the sides.

    Mileage change is unknown.

The Pedal Commander does not effect the engine and how efficient it is. The Pedal Commander only effects the Gas Pedal sensitivity and therefore throttle response.

I would expect the gas mileage to go down initially because it "seems" like you have new found power under your foot. The 4Runner is a lot more fun to drive (More responsive) now without the Pedal lag or wait, as before.

rguest3 is spot on with what the commander does.
mpg stays relatively the same. I say relative because I'm running extra weight. I've had the commander installed in my runner 2yrs now. here are my results.
1st around city mostly green lights @
    36ish mph for about 20mls20180924_170738.jpg
    2nd hwy driving @70 mph for about 15 mls 20180924_170846.jpg3rd hwy driving @73mph for almost 14 mls20180924_170922.jpg
finally going home up and down 4 hills @55mph for 7mls20180924_170949.jpg

Well that "mileage" is not correct unless it's hand calculated with the amount of fuel burned for the amount of miles driven...just sayin' what the dash says is not your actual mileage.

I get what you're saying but it really is a pretty close ballpark figure I've noticed. I dont have it all written down but let's just say there's not much more to do but to play the mpg game on these long Texans roads. also, even doing the whole full tank, next fill divide this number and that it's not exact either. too many variables to take into account. all I canan say is that I know I can drive 338 miles on one tank most times and that's a good average considering all the extra weight on my runner.

Well, I drove back from VA Sunday and the 4Runner got 18.4 MPG with the larger tires and lift kit. Not too bad for traveling at 76 miles per hour.

2 weeks ago I had similar results when going up to New England (VA, WVA, MD, PA, CT, NY, VT, NH and back to VA). Since June I have been through all the east coast states less Maine, New Jersey and Rhode Island.

I was very happy with the truck and how it handles on the road and was very comfortable. I have just under 6000 miles and am now due for service, as the dash indicator tells me. She'll be happy to get some fresh oil, filter and a full detail.

I installed the Southern Style Offroad Bumper today. Everything fit very well, I just needed to slightly bend the A/C line and Power Steering line that was just barely touching the Back of the Zeon Winch.

STILL WAITING ON THE GOBI RACK!!!

Yeah and back then it probably wasn't a ridiculous wait time for the Gobi either. I think the Gobi is nice but it is now extremely popular and obviously Gobi has not hired any extra production personnel to keep up with demand. Which is their choice but now it is going to start costing them business because although their rack is very nice, it's not the be all to end all. There are many good racks out there without the crazy wait time. Also waiting that long for something I paid a lot of money for would just make me extremely anxious. Anxious as in I just got ripped off type anxious, but that's me. Anyway, hope your rack comes in soon Rguest, you will like it and soon forget about how long it took to get it.

I gave up on the ladder I ordered March 19th. They have failed to return my phone calls or email requests so, I’m over them. I’m going to go see of a guy I know has the capacity to build a ladder for me.

That's ridiculous...I don't know how much the Gobi ladder was going to run you but check out the C4Fab ladder. It's no drill and looks good IMO.

I did try to cancel my Gobi Rack order 3 weeks ago, but they were going to charge me $500 to do so.

Delivery was originally scheduled for Mid October. I spoke with the shipping company for a delivery here tomorrow. This will be 20+ weeks. I hope it is DAMN NICE when it gets here.

I installed the Zeon Winch and LED light with the Southern Style Off Road Bumper. I also just Installed the Off Grid Engineering Dual Battery Set Up with the Odyssey Batteries. With the Off Grid Installed, I completed the wiring for the Winch, ARB Compressor and Rigid LED. Everything looks and works great.

I did copy the Off Grid kit for another vehicle and it turned out to be a lot less money, but with different Battery Trays. The Blue Sea ACR (Just a Ground Wire) and inline Fuses makes it VERY easy.
