You said your remote. Its mail order industrial supplier. Ive used them since the 90s. They have everything you will need in fasteners.

Lewis Machine and Tool. As good as KAC or the old Noveske stuff. The LMT MRP is quite nice..

Yes & have one on my roll-away in garage waiting for 1st 5k oil R&R on current 4Runner. I will go to local Toyota dealership ( Even though they won't deal & would except a Toyota OEM Bed Mat for exchange) for oil filter

If I it were me I'd get OEM Filter bowl Plastic Or Aluminum OEM (for proper Spring/Stand pipe) Your chose ( I go W/Metal vs Plastic Pretrerace)

Seems like a high percentage of Doorman filter housing buyers have had leak issues.

I've never lost a drop with either the OEM plastic or metal. I returned to the plastic housing and keep the metal version as a backup.

I would also add another recommendation for the MotivX removal tool.

I had Plastic OEM from my 2018 & Will have my OEM Plastic from 2023. When I R&R Oil/Filter @ 5 k! ( Not gonna do the 500/ 1000 R&R Break in BS!)Been Doing OEM since 1985 W/New Vehicles & Never/Ever Had an Eng Problem! Old School Mx Plastic vs Metal, Metal wins. Just Temp/Wear is my opinion. I know from Advanced Composite Course Training @ FSI WB that "Composite" components can't be utilized

I finally got the bowl removed.
    There was no baffle tube.
I'm not sure how important it is, but I think I probably need one.
Can someone provide a part number and/or link for the filter bowl that I should use?
The closest Toyota dealer is about 90 miles away.
Does it come with the baffle tube?
I have the filter and both O rings.

    No center Tube????????
I don't like the sound of that.
How many miles without the center tube? (I know you don't have the answer to that one)

You purchased this from a dealership?

I don't think one can purchase just the center tube.
You will have to purchase an OEM plastic Oil Canister one to get the proper tube.......

I know the aluminum has a Toyota parts number. But all the research I've done on say it's better to use the standard non metallic housing? I was pleasantly surprised mine didn't break after having to use a breaker bar and an exorbitant amount of pressure it didn't break.

    That's one of the problems.
No, I would do every other oil change until I ran out of oil free oil changes. I've worked on cars, I used to rebuild engines and worked in a garage doing all sorts of automotive work. Believe me I know when someone is using an impact wrench improperly.

I wasn't questioning your mechanical ability. I was just curious if it was the first time you'd removed this particular oil canister. I didn't mean to insult you if it was taken that way.

    One thing is certain.

No center tube = No oil filtration

We are heading to a dealer this afternoon to get an OEM from the dealer.

    Thanks for all y'alls input.

Going forward, when I do an oil change, I only need to get a filter.
    Is that correct?

Yeah the filter should come with

    1 x filter
    1 x big o ring
    1 x little o ring
    1 x plastic drain spigot

Should be all included. Also get a fiber blue washer for the pan bolt when you dump it.
