20230205_123810.jpg Steering broke on mine on Sunday afternoon while driving in the mountains...

Yes I am sad, yes I think I will try to fix it; if you have any leads on a rear window for an 88 let me know...

Had this since 1999, traveled with me to Florida and back to Washington for my active duty Air Force time. Decided to give it some TLC and do a restoration on it. It’s a slow go but she deserves it.

It runs great, had some steering issues and wanted to upgrade to a high steer. There was unfortunately some rust on the body around the wheel wells so I wanted to get the body off the frame and clean the frame and body of any cancer. To answer your question, it currently has 237,481 miles

We saw this one last month at a lowrider show in San Jose. The guy who restored it was there to show another car, this was his support vehicle. As I recall, he said it was an '86.

Here is my 88. Bought in 2007 and restored a few years later. Deluxe model turned into an SR5 "clone" 22RE stock engine with about 179,000 miles. Fiberglass quarters and cap trim, OEM chrome trim replacing the flat black windshield, grill and headlight, taillight bezels, front and rear bumper trim, window moulding. replaced carpet and usually have SR5 wheels with 31 x 10.5x 15 TOYO Open Country tires but swapped the newish wheels and tires from the pickup onto this before saying goodbye to the pickup.

Picked up my first 4Runner today, it is in remarkably good condition, no rust in or out - dash isn’t even cracked! Window won’t roll down tho, which from what I’ve read is a common headache
