They are a lot of fun! Good luck on your new adventure. Can't wait to get the fk out of California too. I'll definitely miss the nearby 'wheelin! But for now it's the best!

Just came back from running the Mojave Rd. 165 miles plus detours(aka lost). IMG_2790.jpgIMG_2793.jpg IMG_2792.jpgIMG_2798.jpg IMG_2799.jpgIMG_2803.jpg IMG_2807.jpgIMG_2808.jpg IMG_2810.jpgIMG_2812.jpg IMG_2818.jpgIMG_2819.jpg IMG_2821.jpgIMG_2822.jpg IMG_2825.jpgThanks to the BasTRDs for letting me tag along. Trying to keep up with high HP Tundras with LT suspension was a real tough task for my little 4rnr. Caught some air, took some hard hits, and drove faster on dirt than I ever had! Never even had to lock the hubs. Then drove it home at 75-80 mph! They don't build 'em like this anymore.

Looks like a blast. I'll keep the taco for runs like that. I wish the 22re had more power especially now that I bought my 37s. Discount tire had a solid rebate on these 37s and couldn't pass up on the deal

That thing is badass! Awesome looking rig man. I had a trip to great falls planned over the 4th of July to visit family but plans changed, hopefully I can make it up there soon. My folks are both from Montana and most my family live throughout Montana. Beautiful country!

This is my 85 4runner, straight front. Bought it as a project knowing it needed some work. Right now all dents are being removed and its being painted the newer Tacoma "quicksand" color. Will post progress pictures.

Pretty cool all the variations but you can find that "unique" mod you have on someone else's variation. Covid-19 gave me more free time and I found this site. I'm the original owner of my 1989. I picked up most of my mods including the not currently installed soft top during my first few years of ownership. 156k miles but the V6 developed a rod type rattle in 2008 at 144k miles and I had it replaced.

As someone mentioned maybe even on another site, watch out with insurance values. My truck was hit under the drivers side rear with minor damage. Ended up totalled, rebought, rebuilt titled, etc. I tried to get Haverty collector car insurance on mine like I have on some other cars. They let you go by a stated value, but they would not take a vehicle like ours unless you absolutely do not drive it.

I have a small winch in the front. Split the exhaust to each side although i don't know what good that did. The rear tube bumper is flipped over from the way it was designed. Fit better that way way after i was somewhat rear ended. The hardware broke on my gas fill door. And my tailgate is also black. I had the tailgate down and lightly backed into a tree, but it was easier to pick switch out to a different door. That probably also would have totalled the thing if I had filed a claim..lol.

I don't know how many B/M there are but, could you cut a few pieces of 2x4 wood (since it's only 1 1/2") and drill a hole in a couple of them.
Then lift one side, insert a few with the body bolts (loose so it doesn't slide off the frame) and go to the other side to remove the rest.
A buddy or shop with a 2 post lift sure would be handy now.
Wish my Mom was alive, she could slap my face into next year and we'd be through this mess.

You can do it yourself. As Steve said, loosen, but don't remove one side. Raise the other side using 2x4 to support the body and a chunk of 4x4 to do the vertical lifting with a floor jack. You'll need to get some stock body mounts ready to replace. Id also look up body lift kits online. Many retailers post the installation process. I'd view that and reverse their steps. Good luck!
