I just did the Cornfed 1" spacer, kit (1/2" spacer nets a 1" lift) along with new KO2's and couldn't be happier. Here's the look. Did some trailing in the Ouachita National Forest this past weekend and everything is excellent.

Also, can't say enough about the guys up at Cornfed Suspension (Cornfed Suspension Home page). They're happy to help or share ideas. Super-accessible people and 100% All-In on Toyotas. If you're near the Branson area, Cornfed will install the spacer for you at their place. Or, they'll ship you the spacer and talk with your shop. No, I'm not a paid spokesperson! Just a really happy Cornfed customer.

I don't know man. You're now in the territory where you might want UCA's and you've reduced your down travel by a good amount going that high.

1.6"-1.75" lift up front is the sweet spot, IMO. You can still use stock UCA's, get good alignment numbers, retain a good amount of down travel, and still run 285's.

Did the spacer make any difference on nose dive during braking or possibly even stiffen up the ride? Or do I just need to put on the 5100s?

No change in nose dive. Spacer is on top of strut so spring rate stays the same...or so I've read.

Seat of the pants feel confirms no improvement in nose dive.

Since the Cornfed 1" spacer makes such a subtle change in the positioning the front elevation and rake, the driving feel is unnoticeable to me. It just lifted the front enough that it seems like it is where it should have been from the factory.

This is a very interesting option. I'm looking at raising an 1"-1.5" or so in the front and reduce the noise dive. Does this setup help in the noise dive breaking and how is the drive comparison? Do you have a link to 5th gens you used for research/examples? This may be the way I go.. thanks

has anyone noticed any change in fuel mileage, with th 1" lift up front? I imagine it changes the aerodynamics just a bit... but they weren't exactly wind-tunnel ready before the change.

I can still get 20 on a highway trip. 255/75r17 geolandar at. Going on a long trip tomorrow. Can post some mileage numbers. Hoping for no headwind!

Not looking good for wind. 20-30mph out of the west....and of course I'm going west.

I noticed about a 1.0 mpg ding in fuel mileage with the combo of the 1" Cornfed spacer and the BFG KO2's. I was expecting that. The tires I replaced were the factory OEM Duelers. So, I'll be averaging about 19mpg in a no wind condition on the highway. It was 20 before the lift and the tires.

I think it feels (my opinion) a lot firmer than the stock 5th gen 4R suspension that comes from factory. Does it reduce nose dive? I honestly thought it did a better job at it. I do not have a link but if you do a google search, I'm sure you'll be able to find them. Plenty of people talk about it on social media platforms. Just don't use the rear shocks from the tacoma on your 4R, weight is different.

Mileage so far isn't too hot. Bucking a stiff headwind. 17 over 120 miles. 200 miles to go.

I've noticed mine dropped about 2 mpg going from stock to the 1" level and 265 Cooper Rugged Treks. Going from 19 combined to around 17.

We've been at 18.9 combined. Twice a week it's goes 20 miles of highway then through a smallish town(maybe 8 stoplights) to my wife's work. So it's not horrible. The not so aggressive geolandars probably help.

I replaced my TRD Pro factory springs with Eibach 1.4” in front and 1” in back because I put larger tires on it. I love the look and the ride is good. The only issue I have noticed is that after about 4000 miles I have started getting a squeak or creak when I go over bumpy roads. Kind of like the sound old cars made when they were cold and going over bumps.

Here’s a relatively inexpensive option you might consider that avoids spacers entirely…

Bilstein 5100’s on all four corners. Set them to the 1.75” notch up front. No problems with alignment or handling and gets rid of the nosedive when braking associated with the factory shocks.

For the rear, get a set of Bilstein 1” springs, which will firm up the back just a bit, and help maintain a more level stance when loaded with cargo.

    https://a.co/d/3xSHWfy

Unloaded, this nets 1.75” of lift up front and 1” in the rear. This gives you approximately .75” less rake compared to a factory non-Pro 4R. However, if you add just a bit of cargo in the rear (say a cooler and a few suitcases), you’ll get around a 1/4” of rear squat, which eliminates just a touch more of that rake.

Below is a ‘23 ORP with 265/70 Ridge Grapplers and this exact suspension set-up.

Are those OEM TRD wheels? They look wider

Yep. Factory Toyota 40th anniversary wheels.

Same 7” width as all of the factory TRD wheels, although these (and the black versions that come on the Pro’s) do appear to have more of a “dish” to them than do the previous generations, despite having the same offset/backspacing.

I did the 5100’s all around and set the fronts at .85”. It’s a highway rig, so no need to go any higher.

I set-up my first 4R that exact same way.

Here’s a pic of that rig from this summer (although in the first pic it is loaded with gear in the back and three passengers):

Can anyone advise which model Eibach shocks are being commonly used? I am also considering the front level as some have done already and love that this has improved the nose-dive for some. Not terribly familiar with this area of the truck.

2021 SR5P 4WD - I am assuming two of these at the 0.85" setting I've read on here and other posts: https://eibach.com/product/E60-82-071-02-10?epsid=2000

I've been considering going with Bilstein 5100s, and about a 1" front end lift. What stops me is the worry that I will then have issues with the drivers side front diff bearing. How many here who have lifted their 4Runners 1", or higher. have had to have the bearing replaced?

Those are what I had and they worked well. You MIGHT want to go to the second notch(which should be 1.5" of lift) . I believe the factory rake is 1.75"

I have had those on since 2020, set @.85. I did the rear shocks also (no lift in rear) just to improve the ride.

See above. No needle bearing issues here.
