I miss the handbrake in my Tacoma both because it worked so well and because it allowed me to really get some sliding shenanigans going but I can and have done donuts with the full time four-wheel drive so no I don't miss them :D

Don't even need a handbrake in the Tacoma - just pull the ABS fuse and lock up those rear drums

Not since blowing out my transmission in my trailblazer ss. Corvette engine and power in a trailblazer body, but they slacked on the tranny and I paid the price.

I bet it happened not on snow / ice right? I thought I won't break mine doing this on snow/ice with both traction & stability off since the tires allow to slip freely. Maybe I should stop it.

    Oooh look, another mod.....
I didn't even know that my truck had a heating steering wheel when I first bought it. I got in it one morning to start it and hit the wrong button. I was like "What is that?" So I hit it again after I started the truck, and waa-laa, I had WARM hands. Oh that feature is awesome.

When I pair it with my heated (and power-leather!) seats I'm in heaven. I don't have to run the heat that much when I have the wheel/seat heat turned on.

At first I thought it was dumb or gimmicky, but now...it's on the "must have" features for my next vehicle.

Similar but different: I knew the feature was there, but hadn't had need for it yet (bought mine in June). So, one particularly cold day recently, rolling down the road on the way to work, I figured I'd hit the button and enjoy warm hands. And I hit the wrong button. (Yeah, I clumsily hit the Start button instead.) Holy smokes, the instrument panel lit up like a tilt-a-whirl at a fourth of July carnival! That took a moment to mentally recover from! :D

Now when I reach down, I always (lightly) touch the start button, then drag my finger down until I feel the next button. Then I press it hard so it turns on. Doing it this way (it's a formed habit now) ensures I never press the start button while I'm driving.

First world problems, am I right?

    First world problems, indeed.
I've taken to doing things the opposite way (maybe I'm just a contrarian?) -- I put my hand on my knee, then reach forward, knowing I'll tap the wheel-heat button before moving upward to the start button.

Either way, we've both learned our lessons, eh? :)

I almost did that. I was trying to feel for the stirring wheel switch while driving down a winding mountain road. Thankfully I double checked before pressing the start/stop button.

I’m still looking for a flip cover switch for that button so I don’t do what you did and have a heart attack.
