I run 285s on stock ORP wheels (+15) and even before I switched out the OEM UCAs I didn't have any clearance issues. I only changed mine out later on because of a lift and I needed more caster.
With the 255s being narrower than 285 I can't imagine you would have issues there. I think you would run into issues with the body mount and the fender liners first.

Thanks for the pics. I'll need tires soon and these are my short list. Your Pro is the first that I have seen with snowflake wheels. Looks good.

Bought the 255 85 17s. They should arrive tomorrow. Bought some methods and new TPMSs coming Saturday.

Also purchased JBA heavy duty UCAs, Dobinsons MRA extended travel shocks and their 352 springs.

Hopefully have it all together either late next week or after Memorial Day weekend.

This means a regear is on deck.

Popping up an old on, sorry

I’ve had my 255/85 for a bit. Ow and love em. Prepping for the next year though and thinking about going to a thinner wheel to air down on some of the rough trails we have planned. I’ve got some RRW’s that are 8.5” wide. I was told on these to not go below 30, but got them late in the season and only took on dirt roads.

question for you, what wheels are you running and how far did you air down this last year?

I have the Method 703 Bead Grip wheels. I haven't aired down yet. I haven't needed too, but I aired down to around 13-15 on my stock rims a couple of times and everything I've heard from installers and people using these bead grip wheels is they are VERY impressive at doing their job.

Since this thread got bumped; I figured I would share this news too:

I put the same exact tire (size and all) on my 2015 Chevy Dually.

I went from KO2s on both trucks (different sizes) to Baja Bosses on both.

I’ll be testing the winter capabilities in the truck camper in 2-3 weeks. Either SLC or Tahoe.

    TBD.

    Anyone want to go camping?
