Thanks! I don't like all that weight hanging off the back nor the look of a swingout. I keep the spare inside the car. I haven't measured the new departure angle but the difference is insane! So far, I have a couple of different setups depending on the application.

    Every day:
I use the stock tie down spots. I also strap my tool bag and box on top. I'm a little concerned I'll rip them out one day but they have survived many hard whoops with no issue.
    20231229_061505.jpg

For overlanding, I tie it down to a piece of 3/4 mdf I had laying around I use as my sleeping platform. It's cut to fit and supported on the bottom to stay level. It rubs the ceiling a bit now and I'll need to thing of something else once I move to bigger tires. Here's the only picture have of it

Threw on king bump's and tubbed the front for 38's. Had to relocate a bunch of stuff to make it all fit.

Started on the rear. Lengthened all links 1 inch, new bumper will need trimming.

Battery ended up in the center console with another fuse block. Bolted the battery box to the same holes the safe used.
    20240305_154851.jpg

Added a battery disconnect to the cup holder for piece of mind.

Those wheels and tires gotta kill the already poor mpg, and make it even slower than it already is. But a lot of thought went into making those huge tires work, that's for sure. It's quite the rig!

MPG's isn't a thing you worry about at this stage. I've heard it called smiles per gallon and this rig is unmatched on that metric.

With 488's and other mods I can still gap my buddy's 18 ORP with stock gearing and 285's from a rolling start on the highway.

Your rig looks awesome! I'd love to do that to mine but for now I need to keep it a bit more subdued. Cool build!

Differential side gear gave up the ghost on the rocks. Back on the road now, got the new one in pretty easily. Doing the job maybe adds an hour to a CV shaft swap. Wish I brought a spare (will in the future). Deleting ADD next time it happens.

Big tire problems i guess! :itllbuffout:

New front diff side gear and some frame mounted rear hydro bumps.

Redemption run! Had to show that hill who's boss after it broke me a little further down last time.

That's a great looking build! This sport is quite the addiction. It looks like you have welding down. Have you considered replacing the IFS with a solid front axle?

Thank you. This rocklander will stay IFS. It's nice to take the hard lines on the trail then hit 85 on the highway on the way home.

You can see the Jeep JKU in the background in some of the driveway pics, that will be the solid axle buggy one day soon.

Did you make any other mods when extending the rear links 1"? Wondering if you had to use a driveshaft spacer, bend the panhard bar to clear the pumpkin, etc.

I have the panhard correction kit that raises the axle side mount but haven’t needed to do anything else you mentioned.

Another busted front diff ADD tube. Another trail fix. This time I deleted the ADD actuator by replacing it with the tube off a GX and zip tying the actuator to the new tube. No lights on the dash and the new tube has survived a 2k rocklanding trip through the KAT with no shineys in the diff or T-case fluid after. We will see how it holds up to abuse.

Picked up a rf1a on marketplace. 4.7 gears and dual case adapters ordered from Marlin. Tacobox Tuesdays are about to get a little more spicey!

Thanks! The RCLT kit pushes everything forward (2 inches I think) so all I had to do behind the wheel was a small BMC and hammer the firewall back a bunch. Most of the work was in the front.

Clearanced the donor case and threw the doubler together with 4.7 gears and the adapters. I'm going to pull the stock T case next weekend and split the stick for Trident triple sticks. Can't wait for this to come together!

Thank you. Welcome to the forum!

I went with the +2.75 kit as it was the only RCLT kit available when I placed the order. I'd go with +3.5 if it were to happen again as I believe there would be less tub work to do.
