What have you done to your 5th Gen 4Runner today?

Hey buddy - Now you're making me want to change my sequential fog fangs wiring to TAIL fuse or something so they only come on with the first click of the lights (the ambers in the headlights), instead of on with ignition and drls. We only put 11,000 kms/6,850 miles on this thing a year..

I had an OTT last fall. Wondering what would happen if I installed the SB as well...hmmm. The OTT does great in 1st and 2nd, but beyond that, for me, it still hunts for gears and needs LOTS of pedal manipulation to get it to downshift when in the 40-50mph range. Only solution is to 'reset' by removing foot from pedal for reapplication and tranny will respond in kind with a lower gear easily. Otherwise, heavy pedal travel until gear download. Oh well, I think I just need to reflash the ECU back to stock and try the SB. Will advise.

Hmm good to know, I din know about SB before buying PC, but honestly guys my PC has been rock solid and I don't experience the issues ya'll mention. But sure I believe it. Not enough to switch to SB, that's for sure. There's gotta be folks with complaints about SB too.

 

I had a KD-Tune 1 1/2 years after the Sprint Booster was installed. I haven't had any issues at all. The 4R downshifts at the pedal position I expect it to. No more keep-pushing-the-pedal to get it to downshift. Just a reasonable burp of the pedal and into 4th (or 3rd) gear we go.

 

Was looking at the hich receiver on my 2023. A piece of paint came off. Rust. Sanded it. brushed some rustoleum on.

I tried to keep it stock. Could not do it. Westcott lift out on Wednesday and today did the wheel and tire swap. Love these Mickeythompsons 285’s standard load. No power loss at all. Only 4lbs difference. Love the look.

Same time today old wheels and tires put on my wife’s girlfriend Runner. She loves it.

 

Just added some Nitto Trail grappler M/T’s and a three inch lift on my 40th anniversary 4runner

 

Viper Cut doesn't hurt at all.

4Wheeling 101, try to put a tire on the obstacle if possible. And Viper Cut helps you do just that. And it is a pretty cheap mod too.

Finally got all the silver out of the interior that I'm going to. All from Cartrimhome. Fit of all pieces is vert good but some shows a tiny bit of silver around the edges. I just used some flat black model paint to cover that. I'm happy with the results.

 

I miss the days driving over anything with confidence when I had KO2s. Now with my SL tires I'll be praying.

So far no problems since Mrs didn't let me leave the pavement after new kid, LoooooL

 

Now with Load E KM3'S I am more reckless offroad lol

 

Just saw a Black lifted Limited. I don't think it had any mods except lift and big tires. Looked amazing.

A rock banged my transfer case skid plate in, and now the exhaust rattle is constant. Too lazy to take it off and hammer it back to shape. Let it rattle.
