I was just laying here wondering what the correlation was between shoppers of such sites as 4Runner Lifetsyle, etc. and parietal or occipital TBIs. Like those companies should provide a free rear cargo retaining net to catch all the BS we throw back there. "My dad bought the farm with a molle panel, yeti cooler, and 30lbs fire extinguisher to the back of the neck but Jackie Chiles got us Ju$tice!!!"
"what's all that shit for in the back?" "Just in case."

While I prefer napkins over paper towels, not to mention napkins are readily available through every drive-thru, I could not tell if the visible napkin was the last or second to last. Thus, I switched to the all-too-common paper towels. Yes, a first-world problem.

Simply sharing another option, a 5gal bladder (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09NM7MSCM?_encoding=UTF8&th=1) that can be strapped just about anywhere, on top, ladder, etc., emptied into the tank on the trail, and then folded up and stowed just about anywhere until needed again. So far, no leaks.

LC200 is crushing everyone except Wrangler. Our truck is no match to LC.

Yup; I'll need a 24v converter to charge at full power though. Figure I can keep beer cold indefinitely with lazy trickle charging if I give up enough roof real estate.

The fridge/battery combo cost less than that panel lol

You are correct; the panel costs more. For me, the one-time cost of the panel was exponentially less than the hotel cost ($100+/day x3 days/wk x4 weeks/month x8 months now). A long story short, I took a nighttime job over the summer to try out my 4Runner as a living space for a future 6-8 month trip. The primary evaluation was, first 400ah and currently 800ah, battery capacity and charging. Knowing the AC is a huge energy hog, especially in the Arizona summer (117F outside vs 80F inside with AC), I added the portable 400w panel to an already roof-installed 200w panel, which failed at keeping the battery charged for three days of sleeping in the 4Runner during the day by itself. While the 600w total did well, when monsoon season's cloudy days diminished solar harvesting, I added a similar rigid 200w but laid it on the ground just to keep up due to less sunlight. In your case, you could lay a rigid 200w panel (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XQ18PW4?ie=UTF8&th=1), at a fraction of the cost, on the ground until you install the roof rack.

    IMG_9458.jpg IMG_9446.jpg

Most solar panels are both 12v/24v, thus a converter is not needed. While not an expert, from what I understand, your Bluetti will select its most efficient input as needed on its own. The same with the input max at 200w, it will not input more even if the solar panel is able to harvest >200w. As mentioned, not an expert but an amateur solar user, thus I could be wrong. Three years into using solar with my 4Runner setup, it's what I have learned, sometimes banging my head, but nonetheless learned. Hope that helps.

Good insights; as for the 24v I was referring to stepping up the voltage from the alternator to charge the bluetti via the solar port--you get the full 200w with this method versus 100 from the ciggy socket.

Were you running a 12v AC? I kinda want one for power outages and such, but they still seem iffy on cost/quality.

Any particular reason for replacing? (I've not had any problems with my Falkens, but would love to know if you were having issues.)

Not 12v, but a Home Depot generic 120v 5k BTU window AC ~$150 (seen in the picture passing through the lowered hatch window, that I power through a 3k-watt inverter. This weekend, I'm going to use a different tarp/shroud setup, which I used before but wanted to try in a different manner (pictured previously). Pictures of the change are to be posted.

It impressed me today. Give it big aired down tires and it will crawl up like a tank. This thing can keep up with Jeeps. It won't do it as beautifully, but it will do it and not get stuck.

I was happy with the Wildpeaks, minus the 55-60mph steering wheel shimmy they couldn’t seem to get rid of. I’ve had 2 sets in the stock size, and one in 37s. I actually tried to order another set, but was told by DT that the stock size in SL load range was recalled. We’ll see how the Generals do, otherwise I may be back in Falkens in 2 years. I drive the 4R about 25k miles/year.

Thanks. I was surprised, great rig with decent flex, and also feels a solid Toyota.

This helped me to decide whether I should get a 4Runner or Wrangler. The 4Runner is not as good as the Jeep, but it can keep up with it, and it is a much more dependable vehicle. Great job by TFL here
