Wouldn’t that increase the chance that the bolt holes would strip too??

Installed, very easily I might add, a Hike it peddle assist. Can't sing its praises enough! The response on some of the sportier settings is night and day. I even used the economy setting on a long road trip and gained a couple miles per gallon. I like how much smaller it is than the peddle commander and of course way cheaper.

I was inspired by the "I Identify As" stickers... Got a custom one and installed it today. Curious how many others here will understand...

Drove it home from AP parking since Monday morning. No dings or other stuff!! I looked at You while away to find out how to use steering wheel heat. The one showed a thumb wheel switch to L of steering wheel next to Wiper heat. I don't have that. I also need help to change my Avatar/signature :frustrated: Haven't done that since my 2018, did a search here a few ways & finally give into again I'm a moron, just ask my wife :p:cheers:

Why, I believe stainless is softer than class10 steel, which is used for the bolts I guess. Also as long as you start the thread with hand the risk of cross threading is minimal. Which the dealer should have done. But given this was the very first oil change I wonder if it happened at the Toyota factory :/

I learned a LONG time ago (Cause I'm Old) IF when installing a panel START every attachment hardware FIRST, After you install attaching hardware, Then you can tighten them all. Learned that lesson all too well on S76A Models!

Installed another RCI front filler plate. First one rusted out. Sprayed some rust inhibitor on this one this time, hope it doesn't rust again...bleh.

Just under 5k, I am terrible at turning a wrench and I do not enjoy it, therefore I paid Ben, at Arizona Toy Pros to do the install.

It mounts directly where the spare used to go, it pumps directly into the main gas tank. It fills at the same time as the main tank. The pump for the LRA tank is outside the auxiliary tank. There is a switch in the cab, well made, that shows the gas level (in quarters) of the amount in the spare. It is made of steel so I did not need protection. I have full RCI aluminum under carriage protection. The only issue I have is when towing a heavy trailer the rear of the runner sits a little bit low and the angle will not allow me to pump from the LRA tank. Looking into air bags for those rare times when I pull a heavy trailer. My small utility trailer does not cause me this issue, unless I overload the trailer.
    Blessings

I also added treaty oak spacers, new icon heavy duty springs and a new trac bar because of the weight.

Applied hood scoop decal, and a view from the drivers seat. Love the british tan steering cover and Carhartt dash cover, coincident but go well together. IMG_5467.jpg

I was just laying here wondering what the correlation was between shoppers of such sites as 4Runner Lifetsyle, etc. and parietal or occipital TBIs. Like those companies should provide a free rear cargo retaining net to catch all the BS we throw back there. "My dad bought the farm with a molle panel, yeti cooler, and 30lbs fire extinguisher to the back of the neck but Jackie Chiles got us Ju$tice!!!"
"what's all that shit for in the back?" "Just in case."

While I prefer napkins over paper towels, not to mention napkins are readily available through every drive-thru, I could not tell if the visible napkin was the last or second to last. Thus, I switched to the all-too-common paper towels. Yes, a first-world problem.

Simply sharing another option, a 5gal bladder (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09NM7MSCM?_encoding=UTF8&th=1) that can be strapped just about anywhere, on top, ladder, etc., emptied into the tank on the trail, and then folded up and stowed just about anywhere until needed again. So far, no leaks.
