Gave up on low wattage coffee maker years ago-there are none in existence worth using.

I have lots of backpacking gear. Backpacking stove, 4oz fuel can, either pour over or Starbucks Via Italian Roast instant. Better than gas station coffee. Can keep entire kit in the back.

Coffee can be a hassle on the road. Sometimes I will settle for tea.

    No. Blenders are 500+ watts.

We have a portable ecoflow River pro that powers our pixie Nespresso machine. It’s humble but gets the job done. The factory outlet trickle charges the EFRP while on the go until we get to a recharging setup.

You would need to run a pretty big inverter off your battery. You'd either need to directly connect it. Or if hard wired replacing the stock inverter you would need HUGE cables for the length of the run and the amp draw.

I went with a battery station for versatility and ease.

Battery station that charges off the rear cigarette lighter while driving. Or solar.

And a small electric kettle, then instant coffee

The people I go with love me. If only for the coffee.

Just a rule of thumb… if something produces heat then there is current thus Wattage (Power=Current x Voltage) thus 400Watts =3.5Amps x 110 Volts (roughly). Most coffee maker draw a lot more than 3.5 Amps. I think I did that right. Ohms and Kirchotfs law was many years ago for me….lol

If you love coffee and need it when the power is out find one of these on EBay. Given, I use natural gas which works when the power is out but this has to be one of my greatest purchases for emergency situations. (It is perked however). PS: Mrs Cleaver is always using one of these on “Leave it to Beaver”…lol

If a coffee maker draws 3.5 amps at 110 volts then its pulling 385 watts. At 12 volts thats 32 amps it would be pulling from your car battery.

Google says the average coffee maker takes 750 to 1250 watts which is up to 104 amps @ 12 volts.

The small electric kettle I linked above is a low power unit @ 600 watts.

Yeah it's AC 400 watts. I think it might not be pure sine; or it may be dirty power because my power station won't charge from it even when told to only charge off 200 watts.

I was mostly throwing that out there because while the outlet is AC, the power ultimately comes from a 12 volt car battery. You could upgrade the inverter but you would need to upgrade the wires for the 12 volt amp draw.

I don't think that was necessary, it showed you can't power much from that AC outlet.

This k-cup machine works just fine with the OEM inverter "Mainstays Single Serve Coffee Maker, 1 cup Capsule or Ground Coffee, Black, New, Model 202140" $20 from Walmart.

That's volts, you need to know wattage but expresso requires watts. You should have bought a Ford Lighting

Low powered blenders exist, I managed to find one under 400w at Walmart years ago. (Tailgating margaritas were essential at that time).
