Haha not bad at all since wife drives 1 mile a day during the week. I fill it up once a month.

My first “add on” to my 17-day old 4R. The Maszupir cargo mat from Amazon. They have other ones with similarly weird names at the same price. It installed really easily, the floor mat has a few Velcro strips on the front end, the back-of-the-seat mats have Velcro on the top. Very secure. I’m pretty excited because I use the cargo area religiously almost every other weekend for camping.

Before you cut it, you should consider whether you want to use it with the rear seat bottoms removed. That buys another six inches or more. (You can get the seat bottoms out in 15 minutes or less, and back in almost as fast).

So got my windows tinted a few days ago. Only issue was the back glass. Guy had issues doing it. But he recommended a guy in my hometown to tackle it. So hopefully it'll be fixed on Wednesday. He uses same brand of tint.

But guy who did my installation did a great job.

EDIT: Forgot to say it's 5% doors and around and 30% on front. Totally illegal, but helps to know local constabulary (especially when you're parked at the back of the HQ lol).

Do you have pictures of those mounts? Link? I was curious about how to mount on crossbars without drilling them.

    Oooh look, another mod.....
    My upcoming mods: LIGHTS!

I ordered LED red tail lights, an LED red 3rd center mount brake light and a pair of low-beam LED bulbs for the headlights. I didn't want to order (or need to, since the high beams are LED) a complete headlight replacement.

The red will blend nicely to give a complete cohesive look (I can't stand the clear/chrome tail light and 3rd brake light).

I should have them shipped to me and installed by next Saturday. I gotta stop spending money...... LOL.

The head/taillights came from here: https://www.headlightrevolution.com/custitem_cat_facet_application/4Runner?keywords=4Runner Pretty good prices and lots of options.
The 3rd brake light came from here: https://www.4runnerlifestyle.com/pr...light-replacement?_pos=1&_sid=4331af775&_ss=r

    Sure: https://us.tredoutdoors.com/products/tred-mounting-baseplate

Got two plates and two sets of pins, they fit my Bunker boards nicely.

    TREDMountingBaseplate_700x.jpg

Narrow stainless cable ties are threaded through the slots under the outer hardware covers, two per plate.

Of course I yeeted a couple self tappers in first for good measure, but you could skip that step.

Did you have to cut out spots to attach cargo straps?

Lubricated the front brakes to eliminate squealing. How much drying time does the copper antiseize need between coats? Do I need to add some to the brake fluid reservoir too?

Hit the road, left San Diego yesterday for a quick stop home in Sacramento. Now I’m in my way to central Washington for some fun.

Well, at least you have a removed running board to show for it all :p Keep this up and your Limited won't be as limited off-road.

I got us a cabin outside of Leavenworth for the week. Planning to hit North Cascade NP and maybe Mt Ranier. And of course some good Oktoberfest liquid ;)

I have the same Alibabazon covers but the 3rd row version lacks rear tiedown cutouts; I'll make some once I finish painting and carpeting the rear seat delete sub enclosure.

    PXL_20231008_125127222.jpg

About that sub, here's the steel grill with a bad paint job.

    PXL_20231008_125223267.jpg

Please excuse the rough edges and bad carpeting, it's going to be function tested for a while before I make it "pretty". Underneath is a complicated mess of bracing, angles, and steel plate to clear the 3rd row mounting hump--fiberglass would have been a lot smarter but I'm stubborn.

Started with a 48TRTP122 prefab 12" box and tested it for a week before making the new enclosure. Even with the radiator the VT was a downgrade from the compVR, but hey, it's half as thick. My homemade box is around double the airspace but only 80mm deep where the radiator sits. There's also a "secret" compartment for emergency gear as I did not utilize the space aft of the flap.

More breathing room was a clear improvement! Downright impressive sounding for a stealth setup with a tiny 5-channel amp, and going series-parallel with the little Skar still has a boosting effect despite reducing available power for the 12".

North Cascades was closed due to fires (some local closures still exist), also Hwy 20 may close if we get early snow (Farmer's Almanac says maybe 10/15 or so!). Some warnings on "smash-and-grabs" in the parking lots. Oktoberfest has been moved to Wenatchee. Should be some good fall colors (There was some when I was there 2 weeks ago-just starting). Suggestion: Check out Roslyn (site of Northern Exposure). The Brick there has great burgers and good local beers. Gustav's in Leavenworth has great food. Be prepared for possible snow at higher elevations=last year first snow came about 11/5 or so.

Mt Rainier: Lots of local issues. Check the website for closures. Alerts & Conditions - Mount Rainier National Park (U.S. National Park Service) (nps.gov)

Apologies if you know all this!

No cutting at all. But what I did realize is that I cannot do back seat covers now, unless I want to modify, the seat covers will not allow the velcro to stick. But the cargo mats are custom fit.

Wrapped this piece on the Limited right on the vehicle. All that’s left is the steering wheel pieces. Center console is done, and the two HVAC pieces (those were hard).
