So noob question here. I've seen a few vids of changing out the interior lighting to some LEDs (getting rid of the dull lights). Did the bulbs change any from say 2018 to 2021 (which I own a 21)? When I attempted to put my info into Amazon, it says it won't fit? I didn't think bulbs would change any from one model year to the next, but ya never know with the manufacturing.

Hi Everyone! So it’s finished and OMG it’s insanely loud and crystal clear. Set me back a pretty penny but I’m very much and audiophile so imo money well spent! Here are some photos of the finished project. In case anyone wonders it’s all Fosgste equipment except the DCP which is an Audio Control DQ61. Also the only cutting which had to be made to the vehicle was in the rear tail gate to fit the tweeters. It was minor so I approved it being done and the tweeter mouths flush. I also included a photo of the tweeter so folks can see just how much room we have to work with.

Also, to the someone asked about the sub. It’s a 12 inch Fosgate P3 with prebuilt fosgate box (specific to the p3 12 sub).

In the event anyone wants to use this setup for their own I’ve included the receipt which breaks down all the equipment, labor and parts.

I do ask to anyone who thinks to comment negatively on what I paid please keep to yourself. This post is for the betterment of our 4runner community and I’ve no place for anything but love.

Sounds like you have a system you're happy with and that's honestly all that matters.

    Congrats.

A little tamer tire change. I got 55k out of the Wildpeaks. Decided to change it up a little. Weight savings is about 9lbs per corner.

Brought the new one home and promptly replaced the factory floor mats with Husky’s from the 16 Trail I sold last fall. Will get new tires next week. Still trying to decide on new armor. I’m on vacation for a week so I’ll think about.899587CD-CED3-412F-9B5B-31B2D77800CE.jpg785766F5-EF7A-4D73-97FE-12E78A77657A.jpg

Went full Lasfit LED interior bulbs. Amazon screwed up and ended up sending me 4 more than I needed. I got to share the love with another local 4R owner.

they actually ride just like my previous 295s, so for me, not right now on the regear. Have a feeling i’ll be at 35s though before the year is over, and will likely regear then. 305 is the sweet spot IMO.

how much driving have you done involving hills? I think 285-295 is sweet spot for function. I feel like I’d rather shoot to a complete long travel build and go 35’s before 305’s. Just me tho

@T4Rrunning I have had both Husky’s and Weather Tech. I prefer Weather tech for the front and I like Husky’s for the rear floor mat. In my Tundra, the Husky had a larger foot print. The Husky’s are also softer rubber where as the weather tech is solid plastic.

After just under two years and some 30k miles, the weBoost OTR antenna's weakest point is NOT the treads coming loose. The weakest point is the joint above one of the treads. What the Mother Fungus!?! Cleaned it up and reset it after applying some Loctite (glue?). Headed up north in a few hours to finish the last segment of AZBDR (Cameron, AZ - Utah state line). Hoping it holds.

He has a factory bumper. The tire carrier is held on by his hitch. I don’t know the exact manufacturer of what he is running. However, there are many companies that make a quality product.
    eg: https://westcottdesigns.net/product/universal-hitch-mount-tire-rack/

    I hope this helps.

I'm an audio geek myself. Quality costs money. Every vehicle I've ever owned I ended up replacing the head unit, speakers, and installing amps and subs. Just purchased my 4Runner, but eventually I'm going to need some more bump in the trunk. Congrats on the upgrade. Enjoy it.
