Did several mods lately including the Pedal Commander, CAI, lift & 285’s. Then I unhooked the battery negative, which reset mileage to zero. I was getting 12 MPG around town- crap! So I reset mileage, and set Pedal Commander to Eco -4. Much less responsive than stock. Like trying to push a brick through the firewall. Drove 100 miles on freeway and rural highways at 55 mph max. Jimmy Carter was onto Something- I averaged 20.7 mpg! Good science experiment- I could never drive like that in real life, but nice to know it is possible!

Good to hear! We get high 12's with purely city due to covid. I was hoping that along with our CAI & a few other things we can get close to 20mph. Kinda sad when my '04 F-250 powerstroke got 24mpg going to Wyoming! Lol

Blacked out badges, window deflectors, smoked 3rd brake light. I have a Borla muffler on order as well as some color matched engine cover stickers. I'll be painting the stock wheels soon as well. Falken tires in the fall as well.
Easy to fix with a can of Duplicolor black tire paint.

...because it will turn your 4Runner into a Jeep? Good point! Not need to needlessly downgrade my ride by making it a Jeep.

    All of them.
Got the rack put together and touched up the cross bars that were heavily used more than the others. Hopefully by Saturday it will be on the truck and I can start mounting my accessories. Putting the main rack together 73356DD6-954B-4BAE-9AF1-B8E25BEE388B.jpg

we also determined we have 3 extra cross bars and that’s without leaving any out for the sunroof. But I think I’m gonna leave it this way and not worry about the sunroof. It still functions perfectly fine.

Installed my radiator catcher, all cleaned up, painted and soaked in oil.
With the snow already here, I noticed impatient idiots behind me literally 2-3 feet on my rear bumper. If you ride my ass like that, at least pull my hair, damn it.
I don’t drive slow, I’m usually 3-5 miles over the limit in town and about 10 miles over on the highway. It seems it’s not enough for some dickheads. This will give me another 2-3 feet in same cases :). I hope.

I installed this last week and I highly recommend it. The installation video is perfect and it took me just under an hour to install it. Works great!

I have the accessorides one; has worked great. Easy plug and play install too, didn’t have to tap or splice into anything.

    Agreed ^

I can't speak for the non push to start ones, but the one for my wife's 2020 took about 30 minutes and worked perfect. I loved not having to splice anything, the jumper harnesses were great. As stated, the installation video was pretty damn clear.

Blacked out grill and rear emblem. More on the way!
Recently rolled over 100k, 16k since I bought it in Jan 2020

I upgraded all the interior lighting to an inexpensive LED lights I found linked here a while back. Does anyone have an inexpensive option for increasing backup light output?

This morning I ordered the Alpharex LUXX-Series LED Projector Headlights Alpha Black. Hopefully they arrive by end of the week and I can install them next weekend.

I have an appointment at noon today to have the windows tinted.

Within the next week or two I will be removing the factory running boards. I won't be replacing them anytime soon.

^^ I used some plain jane LasFit LEDs for the reverse lights (harvested them out of my wife's old car before I turned it into my daily). I liked the improvement. I will probably buy her the tail as turn module at some point. I know that even with the LED bulbs, the backup camera is way better, and my neighbors have asked me what I did because it looks like a car is driving right into their house when she backs up to leave in the early AM.

Any pics of the interior LED changeover?

Those look like a great option. For $30, that's what I would consider inexpensive.

I don't have any pics at the moment but will take pics and a short video to post later

Sirius LED makes a Reverse bulb (921) for about $15 available on Amazon. It’s an incredible improvement over stock. It’s black aluminum with led’s around the sides and on the end of the bulb.

Good choice. Lasfit bulbs are a solid upgrade for backup lights. They’re much brighter and whiter than the OEM incandescents. I also use Lasfits for the turn signals. One tip after plugging them in is to dab a -small- blob of adhesive like shoe goo or E6000 over the bulb base to the socket to help hold them in place. The bulbs are longer and heavier than OEM and some people worry that they might pop out from vibration or big jolts.

In the backup application I noticed that the light isn’t thrown out as nicely to the sides in my 4R as they do in my wife’s car. Must be the difference in the reflective optics. Some folks install additional backup lights using the trailer hitch connector and installing a light in the hitch post itself. Or bolting on auxiliary lights under the bumper like in this thread:

Good point, I'll have to take note when I go out tomorrow morning with respect to the angle with which the lights illuminate things.
