Blacked out badges, window deflectors, smoked 3rd brake light. I have a Borla muffler on order as well as some color matched engine cover stickers. I'll be painting the stock wheels soon as well. Falken tires in the fall as well.
I got this shade canopy mostly for when I want to wash, wax or work on the vehicles in my driveway because it's in the sun most of the day. It'll work in the yard too. It has a stronger looking frame than I expected so I'm pretty happy with it for the money.DSCN5512.jpg DSCN5513.jpg

Randomly realized there was a light not smoked out so I replaced my 3rd brake light. Smoke out complete.

So a follow up on my canopy. I actually tried to drive the Runner under it today. It's a little short. I stacked wood to see how much. I'll make 4, foot high boxes. That should do it. EDIT: A true DUH moment. I didn't notice that I had the legs at their lowest setting. I get about 8" more length on the highest setting so all I have to do is put them on some 4X4 blocks.DSCN5514.jpg DSCN5515.jpg DSCN5516.jpg

Recently installed Gobi ladder and wanting to put some of my RotopaX on it. One to two of 2 gallon water or gas packs.

Bought pm3891 (very high lifting force) struts off lift support depot and with just the ladder on they take a lot of effort to close with both installed. Currently have one installed on the ladder size and stock on the other. Works well and tolerable force.

Is it bad to have two different struts on? One strong and one stock? Going to call lift support depot next week to see what they say. Debating on returning this set and getting one step down.

Set up the new awning in the yard to give it a test before heading out into the wilderness. Very easy to set up, one person 5 minutes. Ordered some solar LED lights to try out. The dogs seem to like it.

Looks excellent! Did it mount to factory rails?
What brand did you go with & does it have an available room like the ARB?

It does not have the added room available. It mounted right to my victory 4x4 rack with the mounts that came with it but I ordered the victory awning mounts which will be here in 3weeks, like the look of their mounts. It should be easy to mount to pretty much anything, they send you a couple L brackets, easy enough to rig up something. I did a lot of research and this awning was always in the top three.

I did order mine direct from the company not through Amazon. I live in NM and I got it from the company in 3 business days, same price as amazon and free shipping. Here is their link

So I installed those today, major improvement. The pack of bulbs includes two for the outside mirror puddle lights, which I don't have, so two spares there.

It also includes one bulb for the glove box light, but I can't for the life of me see how to get the oem bulb out...did you replace that light, and if so, what's the process?

Based on the fact that none of the interior led bulb replacement how-to videos I watched even mentioned the glove box light, I don't get the feeling it's really supposed to be swapped. There must be a way to access the glove box light if it needs replacing, though...

I don't think my car has a glove compartment light, no light comes on when I open it.

Upgraded the original UCAs to SPC ball joint UCAs. Measurements after install, from fender to floor, are 38.5" front, both sides, and 39.5" rear, both sides as well. Also did the differential drop, but I couldn't fit the original engine skid plate back in place, will be a good reason to upgrade.

Do you mind sharing a pic of where you made the tap; which fuse box (under hood or under dash) and number or fuse label … gonna get off my butt to install mine tomorrow.
    Thanks

Took some POR15 paint and painted a lot of the frame especially the welds and places that get scratched. Best frame paint ever. Dries like concrete.

RSG sliders should be getting shipped out Monday so I removed the running boards and wish I had done sooner. Makes the recent Eibach lift stand out way better.

Thank you! You can remove the rack with a trim removal kit from Amazon, and an impact. Used Dupli engine paint in the color Cast Coat Iron. I'm so happy with how it turned out!

Who cares? This never shows everything anyway.
Yesterday, I drove my 4Runner to my very first flight ever. It was an old biplane. I should be over the whole fear of flying thing now, so I'll try a short airliner passenger flight somewhere after all this coronavirus crap is over before taking a trip to Australia.

On the way home while driving on the Garden State Parkway, I got sideways! Some jackass in a convertible decided he was going to squeeze into the tiny space between my vehicle and the SUV very near me between 10 and 11 o'clock to pass us both. Thank goodness I was in the right lane and had the shoulder to dip into. I slammed on the brakes and ducked right. Then I had to correct left and lost traction for a bit! I could feel the inertia of my 4Runner moving forwards while its heavy body and the rear wheels were rotating behind me. I was able to straighten out without killing anybody, thank goodness.

It was crazy. Me and the guy in the other SUV were just driving normally, and this jackass comes from out of nowhere and nearly kills himself and maybe others. I could have seen myself pushing the convertible into the other SUV, too. I probably would have survived, but this convertible would have been painted red, I'm sure.

Trying out a different shifter, I'm looking for an old school Yota sticker to put on it.

We haven't been eating out much, but I hear that restaurants are open for carryout only. Some like Applebee's and Chili's allow you to dine in observing social distancing.
