Did this with some leftover subfloor material. I can share dimensions. 39b42512-4d09-4978-ae00-56a46283d25d.jpg 39b42512-4d09-4978-ae00-56a46283d25d.jpg 6ccd4849-9dba-4b01-87ec-999313ed1096.jpg eccd314f-816d-4a17-b43e-b49648480eaa.jpg

What are the signs of a steering pump going bad?

I feel like when cold (like first drive in the morning to work) i get a 'jitter' or 'stutter' in the steering wheel when turning while not moving. Like, say i'm backing out of my driveway, and when i go from Reverse to Drive while turning the wheel there is a slight 'jitter' feeling if that makes sense.

My entire steering rack was replaced recently with an OEM Toyota unit, but not the pump. So rack and fluid are new.

I'd imagine because you needed to swap out the rack, it may have started showing signs of wearing out...kind of like if you favor a leg for a long time, when you get it fixed, other parts feel outta whack due to compensating...strange analogy, I know :anonymous:

Put a set of 6500K LED high beams in from Amazon. They match the Amazon low beams and Amazon fogs that were in it when I bought it Tuesday.

Can anyone confirm this is the correct part i need to replace due to the following symptoms. My wiper switch (right side of the steering wheel), when you push down and go into automatic wiper mode, then like twist/rotate the switch to adjust the speed, doesn't actually adjust the speed. No matter if you rotate it all the way up or down the wipers just stay moving at the same rate. Just want to replace that switch but wanted to confirm this is the correct part:

Not enough info, need year model etc., but that part number doesn't seem to be for a 4th Gen, it appears to be for a ....
    "1969-1973 Toyota Land Cruiser 6 Cyl 3.9L F; F; FJ40L-A, FJ40LV-A, FJ40LV-AC,".

One of these 2 is the one for my 2004 Limited, I'd have to check my build date to know which one sure...

I went to the fred anderson online parts store (someone above mentioned they had some discounts going) and typed in my 2004 v8 4wd Limited in their parts filter and this was one that came up. BUT, so weird, i just googled the part and yes you are correct Toyotapartsdeal lists it as the land cruiser you found.

But ugh, not sure if i need to spend $200 to have variable wiper speeds.

I'll be figuring out why correcting the LED fast blink last night worked on the right turn signal and 4 ways, but left turn signal is still the fast blink. I didn't even touch the left when working on it so not sure how that's an issue now but not earlier.

Today I started replacing my fog & turn signal housings ... but hit a snag because the replacement housing needs a different size screw. The new hole is the same size as the original screw so that won't work!
