What have you done to your 5th Gen 4Runner today?

Washed it after a 570 mile road trip to see our son in college for his birthday! The weather in Texas today was amazing!!!

 

Washed mine twice yesterday and again today. Drove to San Antonio Wednesday in drizzle and fog. It was filthy like never before. Cleaned all the windows and wiped the interior down.

 

What kind of steps r those

I got my hook off of EBay, $40. Do you have a pick and pull neer you? The hook on the left fits the right also, there are literally 1000's of 4runners in salvage yards.

 

Yessir, I drive by two of them each day. I'll be dropping by....
Evidently the part number is the same for the FJ, which helps the odds of finding one.

 

"If we have to, overnight parts from Japan"... because it's cheaper that way. I did this in 2023:



Clean out the two threaded holes in the frame with a thread chaser before driving the bolts in.

Yes, if you have a trusted eBay source, it is much better there. Pick a part should be best though. Happy hunting!

I'll gladly pay the extra money to live in Northern California instead of Texas
