2025 6th gen 4Runner Official Reveal Thread

It'll be 2040 before we see the 7th Gen and it will start at 50k for the base. Wonder how many of us will be alive to see it?

LOL. What can I say, I have a flare for the dramatic. I was a bit tongue in cheek, but kinda not really, if you know what I mean. It’s just a silly 4runner, hardly the most important thing. But the topic made a good vehicle (see what I did there?) to make the point that it’s important to hear what people are saying when they complain about the direction things are going. Today’s “youngins” that will be complaining about 14 foot wide 4runners in 20 years time, will also be right. And the future-future world will be better if they understand what their complaints are really saying.

One thing is for sure though, I need to figure out a way to post on here using a typewriter…mostly for the dramatic effect

Yes have to look at the positives. Maybe they corrected the rear the garnish issue from scratching the rear hatch paint. This was an opportunity to fix those things

Insanity. There’s also too many different model types. 16 different models then all the different colors equals way too many variations. The chances that your local dealer will have want you want is slim.

 

Are you still looking forward to paying for a 6th gen? Note there's no SR5 Premium this time around.

 

I suspect some trims will disappear by facelift time 3 years from now. I mean, do Limited and Platinum need to coexist?

 

Are they also going to have upgrade packages for each of these models like the new Tacomas?

yes. limited you can option to the hilt like a platinum w/o the hybrid motor.

limited = gas option but you can get the same full time 4wd system as the platinum hybrid as an option package
platinum = hybrid option comes with the full time 4wd system as standard


edit :

plat starts at 63k w/o dph
limited starts at 57k w/o dph

but once you add in the full time 4wd system and other stuff, you start pushing the 63k plat price starting point

Who knows, with ballers like you perhaps the 2025 4Runner will sell as well as the cutting edge 2024 Tacos.

 

The 2024 Tundra is having its best year of sales since 2008. Same may happen with 6th gen - new buyers who previously scoffed at the 21 year-old platform now have the 4Runner in consideration.

 

I’m excited that the OR Premium can be in Everest with a moonroof! Im not sure if the 6K between this and the TH is worth it though.
