It’s only noticeable when my rig is parked on my level garage floor. I don’t notice when driving and have decided to ignore it.

I did about 600 miles off-road on the Wyoming BDR last summer and the rig was awesome so no need to fix what’s not broke.

I was able to get a spot on the Rocky Mountain Toyota Roundup in July and plan to drive the trails in the San Juan Mtns as it sits…

    Cheers,
    Bob

I’m with you. After buying my 2013 new, I started reading on forums about “leveling” and how much owners were paying to correct it. So I crawled under my vehicle with a torpedo level and checked on the frame and found it wasn’t out of level. Later, it dawned on me that folks were leveling for cosmetic reasons. They were raising the center of gravity, which makes the cornering and handling worse, and spending gobs of money to do it. My rig actually corners pretty well with stock suspension and a lower center of gravity, so I passed on any mods to the suspension.

I probably have a higher attention to detail than the average driver. After lifting my 4Runner I now have some lean. I expected it, though. '21 TRD Pro and the stock Fox coilovers have two different spring perch heights for the driver vs passenger side to eliminate the lean from the factory. The difference is about 1/2". The lean absolutely bothers me. It's annoying and it causes the vehicle to pull to one side. In the USA, road crown exacerbates this issue. It does not counteract it as another poster stated. I don't like having to constantly fight the steering wheel while driving or the feeling of leaning to one side. I want a nice level vehicle that tracks straight. All I had to do was adjust the pre-load on the driver-side coilover to account for the lean and my weight. Easy to do.

To really fix 100% of the lean, a rear driver-side spacer is also needed. But I only have 1/4" (6mm) of lean in the rear now and that's not too bad. Plus the smallest spacer available is 15mm (edit: 10mm).

I used a .25" cornfed spacer on the front drivers side and 10mm OME spacer on the rear drivers side to get rid of the lean. Unless something changed, you can get a smaller spacer for the rear than 15mm.

Note that I am on Bilstein 5100s with Bilstein 1" springs in the rear. My lift is almost exactly 2"/2".

The smallest I've been able to find is 10mm. That was a typo on my part.

Right on. Note that it is a rubber /poly spacer and I got a little less than 10mm from it. More like 7-8. Might be worth it to try.

That would be perfect because I only need about 6mm of lift in the rear.

I would definitely give it a shot. What's the worst that can happen? About $20 and a couple hours wrenching on the 4Runner

Every day I read something about KDSS making things difficult for the fine folks on here. Glad I didn't get it.

    You’re not wrong.
It does just require correctional spacers and such.
    But yes there's a reason I publicly recommend SR5’s
    My interior is nice tho.

Fortunately, we are able to get the TRD OR'S without KDSS here in the gulf states. Also love the interior in my ORP. Also love the shift lever vs switch. Some good nostalgia in that.

I'm sure the SR5 would have met my needs just fine but I was lured in by the TRD badges and embroidered headrest :)

For those who cannot stand a vehicle that is not level, what do you do with different passenger counts and weights? Do you have assigned seating or pre-weighed counter balancing sand bags?

BTW, pre-weighted sand bags are a way to level without raising the center of gravity.

I prefer to get the vehicle buttoned up as its baseline. If the thing is squatted in the rear and leaning to one side and has a bad alignment when it's literally just sitting there in the driveway, it's not right and it will only get worse when adding passengers and other items. If I'm temporarily hauling your mom around town, the added 5 inches of lean ain't gonna bother me.

Fair enough. Wasn't trying to knock it. Just glad it wasn't something I had to contend with for my lift or some future expense to fix.

Yet we both got rid of our TJs so that is something...
